This is the dopest mathematical channel of the last 3 years.

Here to leave a comment early so you think I'm a time traveller, if I'm the human or the robot is to be determined

im a last year student on physics and still find your channel so amazing and illustrative. keep on with this!

Really well made video. You've put a lot of time and effort into this, which is amazing! Congrats to you, and Happy Birthday to Wantzel!
4
I'd rather burn my money then buy a lottery ticket

I am excited for this project! I contributed in good faith (had to redo a few because of bounces, but I tried my best to keep it as consistent and honest as possible). Good luck on this interesting endeavor!

I just happened to come across this channel and I'm left wondering why the algorithm gods didn't recommend this to me sooner. Another Roof, I absolutely love the longer math videos. You've gained a long-term viewer. This video was so good in fact that I had to make a Patreon account!

18:14 MOG cameo.

i checked out codes in other bases, it looks like the only other possible perfect code (where the radius is at least 2 and isn't n) corresponds to (11 choose 0)+2*(11 choose 1)+2^2*(11 choose 2) being a power of 3 (specifically, it's 1+2*11+4*55=3^5). but i'm not sure if there actually is such a perfect code, and i don't have the time to look for it right now. if it exists, then maybe some of the other sporadic groups arise from it

This may be my favorite video on YouTube to date.
3
@AnotherRoof Just missed it! Great video, thank you for all the history and details
3
You're such a fantastic educator, the way your enthusiasm comes through even with a carefully scripted video is always engaging! Lots of educational content can be hard to absorb for those of us with ADD, but you've turned what could be boring lectures into my favorite math youtube channel <3
3
YOOOOOO LET'S GOOOOO I'M WAITING
3
You are so damn good at this! This is what the internet was made for: the most talented and likeable teacher for the world to learn from. Can't wait for the next one.
3
I am so excited!

I'm of the observation that undiagnosed Tism causes a lot of social issues for many people. Don't worry, I have know many that discovered it in adulthood, and they are doing much better.
3
omg thanks for explaining this in such an understandable way... a lot of these ideas I already kinda knew from functional programming concepts (the "for all" and "there exists" seemed very familiar like the .all() and .any() methods for iterators in Rust) but I had no clue how people describe them in math terms. Especially that "implies" part was sorta tricky, but that circle diagram was pretty helpful.

Marvellous video ❤

Your expository skill here is amazing. I can't tell you how many hours I have spent trying to figure this out, when all I needed to do was find this relatively short video! Most of what you covered is stuff I had already learned, but the connection to Pascal's triangle and the unsolved question concerning it was just magnificent, and completely new to me. Also, it is clear that this is your passion. Your enthusiasm really comes through!
3
Sir, what a way to explain. Respect for that and very interesting topics. I also respect the fact that you did most of it manually, even though most people uses manim. Thank you
3
I think I see where this channel is headed, and I love it! New favourite ❤
3
This is your funniest video yet.
3
Great initiative, thanks for sharing & caring.
3
Awesome video! Thank you for taking the time and effort to make it
3
Amazing, truly blessed to have such incredibly high quality learning on such otherwise unobtainable concepts. Thankyou Another Roof!
3
Actually really appreciate the suggestion for a break, I'm not such a great mathematician, as my experience thusfar is highschool mathematics and some specific deeper ventures. Sometimes with these videos I lose track with what is happening like midway through and just stare at my screen for the rest of it pretty much, this helped with letting it process a bit more.
3
this is becoming my go to channel on "seemingly easy things explained super thorough" section.
3
@AnotherRoof thank you for replying to my comment and for the correction! great video btw!
3
ahhh, that's the good stuff. That's what I was waiting for after your steiner system video.
3
Remain Indoors! You are now my favourite mathematical youtuber. We don't talk about the event! Mitchell and Webb were my childhood!
3
Your videos are so well made. Great topic, great explanation. Thanks
3
The birthday releases are a good idea.
3
I remember first learning about hamming codes, which there are al sorts of great videos about, then finding out there are even better methods...only to be told that they are so much more complicated I'll basically never understand it lol. There needs to be more educational content about more complex topics like this, it is so amazingly helpful for understanding. Thank you ❤
3
Whenever you make a video, I'm always excited for the next one. I was excited for this one, therefore I am excited for the induction video
3
Got a beer ready!

With every video my love for this channel grows.

Incredible video.

D for VenDetta

Really interesting take. I think you're right. Otoh, getting more mathematical results in an automated way will not decrease the amount of interest in mathematical aptitude, similarly to how AlphaGo actually increased interest in Go. Let's get more people into math!
2
Excellently explained, as usual !!
2
This is sooo goood!! 😱🤩 I can't believe you just started this channel! Even though I don't generally subscribe to a lot of channels I subscribed to support your channel growing!
2
Fermat's method immediately resonates on the memory I had of the derivative of a function, some 40 years ago. I had an enormous sense of satisfaction following this video. Great effort! Thanks much!
2
I f*ckin love your channel. Number theory was already cool but your move to coding theory, which is dear to my heart, is just awesome. You've filled in so many of the blanks in my knowledge. Thanks man.
2
That was superb; very enjoyable.
2
Thank you for making such great content!
2
@AnotherRoof You'll make it dude! Just keep at it. Your embrace of long form content fills a gap that the bigger channels don't come close to. Remember me when the algorithm inevitably works in your favor 🙏🏻
2
@AnotherRoof your videos are awesome in introducing finite group theory for beginners thank u so much!
2
Good content, so here's some engagement and a subscription...
2
@AnotherRoof Thanks for answering, that makes sense! It is always great when you can actually interact with your favourite youtubers. Keep up the excellent work, I really enjoy fundamental mathematics (I loved all that part from my analysis courses) and I think you explain it very well and in a very entertaining way.
2
I just love your style of explaining!
