For others interested: I recommend a book Co-Written by Buzz Aldrin himself called "Men From Earth". It tells the story of pretty much the whole space race, including the Russian program and includes lots of first hand personal stories from Aldrin and the other astronauts.

To be completely honest I'm completely fine with the video as I'm a supporter for electric car development and saving the only planet we have that can support life.

I was telling someone the other week, amongst all the incredible reasons to love veritasium, one reason I find so perfect, crucial, I'm not sure the right word but here it is: When you watch a Veritasium video, you don't only learn greatly about the topic of the thumbnail and title of which you clicked on, but you always learn greatly about several other major topics as he seemingly backtracks to give the different contexts and explanations. At least enough to spark further curiosity into each of those different aspects. Each Veritasium video is like a family tree branch, except more complex, if you were to visualize how everything he goes over in the videos connect to the topic/purpose/understanding of each video. The word "amazing" doesn't do enough- forever grateful, thank you <3

The storytelling part of this video (which is like, the whole video but you get the point) is incredibly well thought! Thanks for releasing such a great content for free man. Appreciated

I basically had most information in this already in my head, yet somehow I never really made the connection that film and TV production initially were completely different technologies. Also its maddening how complicated CRTs are compared to LCD or OLED, which are basically just lots of tiny light bulbs with a polarisier.

What a coincidence, the asteroid video has been in my recommended recently. Guess I'll go watch it now.
3
You've done it again. Another fascinating story that I can't believe I've never heard before. I love what this channel does.

Veritasium Were you trying to mimic the (future?) YT feature that offers variations of a title to different subsets of your audience? Btw keep it up, you’re a good content creator. Been a fan for quite a while.
3
This was your finest video. It will be hard to top, but I look forward to seeing you try!

When u touched 150C coated plate and u didn't feel anything, I understood how that's happened bcz u had explained way back about thermal conductivity of materials in with wood and metal slab #AlwaysVeritasium

@veritasium No explanation needed my friend. How often do you run into an opportunity like this? An experience to remember, surely.
