Really cool content/subject matter! Not sure I love the different style from previous videos, but interesting stuff and I look forward to finding out more about the places you're headed going forward.

Mind... Blown! I have a Physics degree but didn't know this... The strange thing about Science is there is always something to learn which improves your understanding. I love it!

It's cool to see a guy spending his life perfecting such an extremely niche thing, and I feel like all the data he had collected might eventually contribute to robotics and space missions down the road, similar to origami being utilized by engineers for a wide range of applications today. On a side note, love all the Veritasium content we've been getting lately!

I worked in a newsroom back in the day. We aired at 7pm but all stories had to be finished by 4:00pm because: film.(negatives developed/edited/sound mixed/ final cut processed etc). If a big news story broke late we would run it 'wet' through the telecine (ie: direct from the film labs developer baths.) Then the whole system would be stripped and cleaned before it could be used again... needless to say it had to be a truly "big" new story to warrant a wet-run. Also effects were optically achieved in the lab, even simple dissolves, so we had a budget of two optical effects per week! It may be apocryphal but we were taught that Ampex set two teams to work to design a video recording system. After a year one team came back with all the reasons it was impossible. The other team pressed play.

Brother.. This was (as usual) a grand explanation of how electricity gets from one place to another.. It made perfect sense to me.. Which at 70 is an amazing thing to begin with.. I am going to re-watch this several more times to get it straight in my mind.. It will help me in designing circuits of my own.. Carry on son.. Well done!

Outstanding explanation! Thank you!

Sheds light on new perspectives of challenges, people, research, business, paths-less-travelled, etc., and with excellent quality of work. Thank you so much.

Shouldn't Youtube have in its interest to make a system where you post several thumbnails and captions and it experiments and tries which one is best? It could test them all at the same time by showing a random one when it presents the video to us and see which have better click through rate?

I just realised why this channel is called Veritasium, it's because veritas is latin for truth!!

I think you could teach us a lot abut being patient, which is one of the most important aspects of socializing, which is one of the most important aspects of being a human.

Another interesting sound effect is that when a Veritasium episode is ending and the closing theme starts, I immediately feel 10% smarter than I was before

Do they have a fire safety system?

You are setting up benchmarks with every video and I can't wait to see the next video where my boy Albert shows up ! ❤❤❤

QR Code Easter Eggs I was able to find: 0:00 - "Welcome to the video!!!" 0:04 - "At least your viewers are scanning" 0:14 - leads to the Japanese shoe store, bwstore 0:15 - leads to a London hotel/apartment building called "Elephant" 0:21 - "Should I over throw humanity today, or tomorrow?" 0:27 - leads to wave break media's website 0:31 - gives the long string of numbers: "731226723687134902616350" 0:32 - Looks up "resturaunt" on a russian stock image site called yandex 0:34 - gives a long string of numbers and letter. 0:35 - leads to a website called viarami 0:36 - leads to a website (.org) called blackwomeninmotion (lots of random qr codes in between these times that likely lead to businnesses) 0:39 - "vaccinated" 12:06 - QR Code (Version 1) "I'm the OG", (Version 2): "I'm a bog-standard QR code" 12:58 - "A Fun Surprise" 13:38 - Same as 12:06 17:02 - Leads to Saily 25:20 - "thirty seven is everywhere!" - Reference to another Veritasium video. 27:51 - Veritasium Youtube Link (aswell as all 8 at 28:03 and the reveal at 28:35) 30:40 - "hello" 30:51 - "vaccinated" 30:55 - Looks up "resturaunt" on a russian stock image site called yandex 31:02 - Leads to alipay 31:11 - also returns "vaccinated" 33:38 - returns the russian phrase, "Трям парам парам опилки" which apparently means "Shake some sawdust" (I don't know if anyone knows what that means?) 33:54 - "/" 34:41 - Leads to the website of the drone show, "fireflydroneshows com" There were a lot of other QR codes that I couldn't get a clear scanning of. I know that some of these codes are from stock videos and aren't easter eggs of the channel, but wanted to list them anyways. Let me know if there are any QR codes I missed.
