  24. That was a helluva ride, with a genuinely surprising and simple resolution. I was not expecting F=ma as the result, and I'm a (admittedly mediocre) engineer! I learned about all of the concepts and theorems you raised, but never learned about their relationships; That is a gigantic lack in my education. Damn. I do wish that Maupertuis had lived long enough to see Euler's resolution of his postulate and to see it proven.
