I agree with all of this, however, the non-V8, turbo, auto start/stop features, active fuel management etc problem isn’t the car manufacturers, it’s the EPA pushing the car manufacturers to meet ridiculous emissions and greenhouse gas targets. Our government has pushed car manufacturers into making cars we don’t want. Just my .02¢

  6. Our lease that we got back in 2021 will be over in a few months. Both my wife and I work from home. Her credit is 830 and my credit is 780. There’s no way we’re gonna pay a 7% interest rate on anything so we decided that we’re just gonna buy a cheap car outright as soon as our lease is over and hold on till interest rates get back to normal.

  11. If you have to sell this Tundra just to get approved, chances are you are stretching too far in a very volatile market. Tread with care, Learn to be happy without purchases…only advice I can give you. Houses and cars never fulfill dreams, they are just tools. Anytime I want to make expensive purchases. I try to step back and imagine it’s my sister or a friend and analyze the situation from a third-party perspective.

  15. I just put a new front end in my 1997 toyota Camry with 285,000 miles on it. Two new axles, ball joints, shocks , inner and outer tie rods and links. And front torsion bar. It was a pain in the /\$$ and took about two days maybe three. Total cost ? Under $600 for the parts. The first I have ever done it. The slop I thought was in the transmission was the passenger side front axle. It was warn out. The transmission is tight no slop. The car rides and drives great. Best part about it……….no car payment👍. I think driving clappers will come back in style😎🤘🏿!

  19. 3:44 is exactly why I have been holding out. I have gone to dealers and offered fair values for both parties and they have said, I'm asking for too much off LOL; no you're asking too much! Then I watch those cars go to Auction and appear at another dealership within 75miles. Now I only make low ball offers on cars that have been at dealerships for 2months plus, and then I ghost them when they come down on price...Literally went into a dealer last week, ask for best OTD. Countered, they said no way, NEXT DAY price was cut $2k, on principle I won't do business with them.

  33. Sadly, the Tacoma has been such a complete disappointment that I’m kind of just soured on Toyota in general at the moment. I was excited for the Tacoma and the Land Cruiser, and I’m one of the very few customers that was eyeing them both.. now I’m likely eyeing neither of them just because I don’t think Toyota deserves my money right now. I’m not going to incentivize their behavior by buying one of their more premium products in the lineup. I think they need a wake up call, and if that means me sitting out this new generation Tacoma and Land Cruiser then so be it.

  35. I have a 25 year old Toyota RAV and I love it. I swear no matter what it cost to fix is still cheaper than buying a new car. I've done upgrades I figured what would a new car have that I'd want and I put all of it after market in my vehicle. Runs just the way I want it. I don't intend to have a car payment....not as a senior. PRICES ARE RIDICULOUS.

  49. My dad owns a 17 Tacoma sport in silver color. He wanted to check out the new taco, so today we went to the local dealership to checkout a silver 4x4 sport with the TRD upgrade package. MSRP was 52k and change, plus a few grand more on some BS add ons from the dealership. My dad just retired, and he happened to really like this new taco, but unfortunately, he cannot afford the new truck at about 55k plus taxes and financing on top of that. He is keeping his 17 taco, either way, his truck has 30k miles. I my self have 17 taco pro, I like the new truck as well. But these damn prices are ridiculous for a mid size truck. But I agree with what you are saying, my next truck or vehicle, might not be a Toyota.
