During the times of Charles the great and Otto I the empire was a real empire.

This was awesome and I am excited for what is next. My grandpa and his sister did some genealogy and historical record digging back in the 90s when me and my brother were born. We already knew quite a bit of family history being predominantly German, but his father was the last tie to that and WW1 and WW2 got him to stop speaking German and fully Americanize. But my ancestors were Bavarian (this is pseudonym my last name is very German, even a light hint would give it away) and nothing against Charlemagne but Otto had always piqued my interest a little more because of my heritage.

Gods, I love this man's channel.

@Empire-Builders it's incredible how good the composers at Paradox are at capturing the "feel" of a time period. Are you gonna switch to the EU4 Soundtrack once you're getting into the 14/1500s?
3
@Empire-Builders That's a crazy coincidence! You have great taste in music. I think you would also really enjoy watching Lotgh and the Rose of Versailles
3
I love the direction you went with on the background music. Nobody really cares how you pronounce it. There are so many words we use that we collectively get incorrect. It's akin to saying Latino the way latino's do just because that's how they say it and not how it sounds in your language. Just like how Britain's loves the way we use our Z's 😂
3
how is your czech pronunciation so good? youre czech?
3
Amazing presentation my brother.🤜💥🤛🤌

This whole video is leagues better than Gladiator 2 itself.
3
It does not sound bad at all. Clear as a whistle.

@Empire-Builders Splendid. I’ve waited for so long for the Stupor Mundi to get his just due. Frederick II’s titanic impact, just on the very notion of the continental European state alone, has been criminally underdone by history tubers. There’s a traceable line from the Constitutions of Melfi all the way to the Napoleonic Code, and with Frederick II himself and the Renaissance (tiresome revisionist historians be damned).

@Empire-Builders this was meant as a constructive criticism, apologies if my comment reads kinda harsh or something. Everybody who engages in academic history and has enough passion to even produce content on his field has my utmost respect.

Scott's just a bad filmmaker who lucked out once or twice but failed utterly to understand what anyone liked about his output to begin with, now he strikes out and blames the audience. "People should watch his movies like they do for all others, with the suspension of disbelief." - The 'suspension of disbelief' is a mechanic of the human consciousness earned by the efforts of the artist, it IS NEVER willfully surrendered by the audience. If the audience didn't suspend their disbelief your output didn't earn it.

amazing content mr mainayar

Thanks a lot for your time and the awesome work.

The pictures are a great add. Gonna rewatch soon.

It should be a criminal offense that this channel has less than 1000 subscribers
3
Really love the channel, would of liked you to have mentioned the ‘innacuracy’ of the footage from the movie hahah

This is the second video that I see comparing the USA to Rome to some extent. Both were released recently, but the first took another road on (in?) its analysis through the idea that "the Roman Empire is the ocidental nation by excelence." (or something along this line). Both are very interesting, I must say. Stay strong with the channel, man!
3
@Empire-Builders you should also look into doing the Sintashta/Scythians at some point, as they domesticated the ancestors of all modern horses and invented the spoked wheel and war chariot, they’re also likely the group behind the spread of the Aryan language group and the R1A Haplogroup. Keep up the great work!
3
@Empire-Builders Thanks for the like Brother 👍🏾 I love you're content, you do great work presenting these monumental moments in history & it's impact on many hope the channel continues to grow & best to you🙏🏾

Love this guy. One of the early Saints of Reason. Compared to him, his enemies and especially that pope appear to be monkeys dressed up as men.
