I’d be interested to see what books you’ve read that have helped out with your personal finance journey. Unless there’s already a video on that and I’ve missed it. Love your videos mate 👊🏻

Well deserved! Great content!
2
Well done Mitch great to see your progress and how you share your journey with us. Onwards and upwards!

Nice one! Do you have your own strategy for dividends? Are you a dividend investor? I would say yes from your apple holdings? Are you looking to add other companies? Interested to hear your own strategy on dividends if you have one
2
@MitchShoesmith Fair enough. I think at our stages in life (I’d assume we are similar in age) I believe trying to get good growth is more beneficial as you say, and also personal strategy. Though when you find a company with what you think will be good growth and a fair dividend it’s always a winner! Look forward to the next vid!

Ah forgot to say, I’ll be signing up to your Patreon today (post work) to see what it’s about so see you over there!

What’s the best way to invest in and S&S ISA Mitch? Just lump £20K in the market (if you have £60k saved for example) at the beginning of each financial year and Max it out until the following April? Or invest throughout the year? What approach would you take? Thanks!
2
This is what we love to see bro, hard work really pays off🙌🏾 imma be there one day 😂
2
Do you use the isa feature on trading 212?
2
Mitch just wondering. I want to invest over 100000 in a freetrade stocks and shares isa over the next 6 to 7 years. Just wondering if you think freetrade is a safe option to do this?
2
Mitch, the quality of the videos are amazing pal. Massive well done to yourself for consistency 👍🏼
2
The pain of averaging in weekly when stocks are rising is you get caught with your pants down when it comes down, been investing now for 5 months and have learned that maybe worth sitting on a 50/50 split of cash and stocks
2
@MitchShoesmith awesome mate, honestly lost faith in the market after I got hit in May, recovered and now this cycle, keep up the good content mate

Nobody is selling their house, there's hardly any houses on the market compared to 2020 craze. And thus the supply shortened. Even if the economy is crap and inflation is taking heads, supply and demand will always have the last say... I hate the UK housing market!
2
Im very new to uk investments...lets say i investerd 1000£ in a year , can i withdraw 1052£ from cash isa including the interest earned after 1 year or just the 1000£ that i invested ?

Good video 👍

Mitch bringing the fire with the predicament I'm in!

Thanks Mitch, One key thing that isn't widely shared by T212 is your cash in a stocks and shares ISA is invested into the money markets, these can go down eg in 2008. While your shares are FSCS protected in a S&S ISA up to 85k, invested cash in QMFFs is at risk (albeit a low risk) if QMFFs drop in value. Therefore, I've concluded it is much better to move any cash from a S&S ISA into the Cash ISA, this money is not invested into QMFFs and is, therefore, far safer AND FSCS protected 👌 hope that makes sense! Just moved 15k over 😉

Good video apart from don't invest in UK economy at the moment tories are useless, <S&P500

Really good simple information. Thank you
2
@MitchShoesmith aw man sounds fucking amazing, have you talked about it in a video etc? Did you buy it outright/finance? What was your thought process in justifying the purchase etc. I'm tryna convince myself I can buy one 🤣
2

The all time high is probably getting a lot of people interested. That’s why I’m here now but I’m doing my due diligence before any investment is down. I opened up a 212 account for the savings part but I’m now looking at investing for that long term return.
2
I’m in it for the long term (20 years). I won’t be selling nothing if anything I be buying more shares why they are in the dip and keep my monthly instalments going. But I won’t lie it is bit disheartening seeing some your gains disappear and you got to remind yourself not to “panic” and sell.

Another one please

Same here bud, this book was an absolute game changer for me,

Buy less use less "Downgrade" to a cheaper option Swap to something different complely Don't spend to save without doing the maths first. Check for what u can get from the gov i.e childcare (yes if u have a job and work) Check ur taxes and personal allowance Downsize i.e only 1 TV subscription at a time. The outdoors is free and u don't put the heating on. Postpone costs do them next year if it can wait. Unemployment is low negotiate a new wage or move. Most of ur expenditure post CoL is luxury. If u don't spend it in month save it and start again.

U went to Aston uni?!?!?! I graduated from there last year, I live in Brum!
2
Mitch you still wanting to do property lad? Have a look at rent to rent serviced accommodation or HMOs as they produce a lot more cash flow than flipping (I think you said you were gonna do that) and you will most likely have made enough from YouTube to start the strategy now. Just a thought bro
2
love ur vids from the beginningn as a 15 yr old im leanring about making money so i get rich when im older
2
Thanks Mitch, really great summary and well presented
2
I'd enjoy a portfolio update Mitch, cheers 🍻

Great video! Quick question.. would removing money from the cash ISA prevent you from maximising your £20,000 allowance? E.G Once you have deposited money within the ISA, would it count towards your annual allowance — even if you withdraw it within the same year?

My favourite quote on investing - “Time in the market is better than timing the market”

Also, I noticed your msaintenance for taps/leaks is 41 quid per month, you can go to British Gas for unlimited call outs for leaks on taps, toilets, blocked drains inside and outside your home for around 180 per year.Or that plus home electric and the boiler breakdown cover and the entire central heating (radiators) for at least 300/400 per year which is still LESS than your maintaintence you put aside for taps. Just thought let you know

Well done 👏

I'd be interested in a Tattooed Chef video pal. Great content, well done!!
2
Great Video as always Mitch! Love the logic behind your profit targets! I'm sure when things settle in the market over the next couple years you may set your sights on adding to the portfolio with some great new opportunities and boosting those profit potentials overall
