Congratulations Mitch🎉 must’ve been a great feeling once it had all gone through. Me and my partner want to do this and are currently saving towards a deposit amount and all the extras👍

Nevertheless, I would keep the balance. What's your portfolio really worth, if you never spend it? What's better: Being "rich", but not being able to spend anything because you are old and not healthy - vs. Being "well off" but having a good time until you are old, and then still being able to live a decent live. So fully agree with your point to not spend crazy on big baller clothing, cars or food - but I think you should still treat yourself here and then while you are young.

Hey mitch, thanks for sharing, well played on all of this. Hopefully in 2030 you can enjoy some of those gains. In terms of the pension, is that a private pension fund?

📈 index funds vs stocks and shares risks and benefits

Great video Mitch covering a number of topics very clearly and concisely. I have been looking into calculating what I would need to retire and the stock market does seem the best option to grow funds. Also considered how property plays a part and with no offspring to consider it would be great if you could create a video about renting versus owning property in old age and using housing equity as retirement funds.

At 28 awesome work dude. I am 26 and been investing two years less, started in 2019. So close to hitting 6 figs!

@MitchShoesmith yeh pay just as much attention in it as you do your other investments. The benefits in later life and inheritance planning are vast. But easier to start now than stumble to 50 or 60 and have to rush. If you later decide to go down the commercial property route you can put that in your SIPP. Plus use leverage up to 50% of the pots value.

Just to be clear, are you saying if someone had invested $10,000 in the market and not put any more money in, it would have grown to over $60K?

🤑 Great video Mitch, you are making awesome progress and these videos are really motivational 👏

Investing should be a long term plan, make a routine of investing even (or especially) when the stocks are down. 📚

My interpretation of this economy is that covid put this cycle in reverse - we were all stuck at home not doing stuff and not experiencing life all whilst rates were at their lowest. Now, it doesnt matter what the rates are people are still going to do what it takes to get that new iphone or to go on that holiday and i dont blame them. Hindsight is 50/50 but forcing the recession for as long as lockdowns was around might have actually been the best thing to stop inflation. But i fully understand why world leaders did what they did to protect people during 2020 than the economy.

Did you manage to have a look at T212's higher interest rate option for your free funds?

Ignore that mate, you’ve just answered me question later on in the video

Well done Mitch! Maybe just the reminder I needed to hear this week to get my arse in gear, as time freedom is so under rated.
