If you're not the customer.... ... you're responsible for joining the worker owned co-op.

love it, keep 'em coming

Do I spy Workbench 1.3 behind you?? Or maybe it’s WB 3. I can’t remember lol.

You’re my favourite tech youtuber, love your videos!

I'm a guy and I like nano. Quick and easy and almost always already installed.

Congratulations, Veronica, for knowing what you want to do and for doing it! I look forward to seeing more of you on this excellent channel. My first job was coding in COBOL (in 1988). Since I'm close to retirement, I'm lucky that that I'm able to spend my remaining programming years looking after a legacy (trading) system. My organization's IT leaves me and my team alone provided that we meet security requirements. The stinky IT puppets don't get to waste my time with pointless meetings.

As always writing a comment to support the channel

I might have used this archinstall if I'd have known about it, as I didn't want to install arch myself but wanted the arch genetics and ecosystem, so I did Manjaro, which worked out for me as a pretty satisfactory base to start personalising. Maybe archinstall could be even better, but there's no turning back for me now.

Great video, it was awesome meeting you and thanks for the shout out!

Killer video! I feel like I really missed an opportunity to pick one of these up when every college and high school was dumping these for cheap, so now I'm relegated to getting a fixer-upper, and I'm going to absolutely reference this when I eventually find the imac g3 of my dreams

I just subscribed, I like your sense of humour 🖤
5
the "little brother ruining it for you" moment was priceless, made me laugh. yeah I lived that.
5
Came here to say this knowing it had already been said!

Ada Lovelace, Hedy Lamarr, Grace Hopper. Without these ladies you wouldn't be able to leave this comment. Perhaps it needs a rethink...

Veronica! Impeccable music taste. First the B52s shirt, now the ABBA sweatshirt? Incredible. Thanks for approaching your content creation in such a friendly, informative, non-elitist manner!

Thanks for another entertaining video!

Nice one, Veronica! I saw my OSCR video peeking through one of your screen grabs... it's a neat and very useful device! Re hidden files, I think the advice to hide them is just to help navigate the folder structure without all the extra file clutter when you're reading the card... at least that's why I hid all of my files. Re building one from scratch - there's a lot of soldering in the OSCR with all of those cartridge slots, but it's totally doable for less experienced folks, and it's great practice! And if you want some help improving your soldering skills, you should come out MGC 2024 next month and attend the gameBadge workshop - we focus on teaching soldering skills and you'll walk away with a cool pico-based handheld game system to boot 😁

Keep up these awesome videos!

In the 1980s I played a bunch of Hack and Hunt which made using hjkl second nature. I still play Angband occasionally using hjkl and use vim daily! I had way more fun than I care to admit watching this video! 🙂 Thanks, Veronica!

"Linux is awesome! And so are you :)" My heart melts every time 😭 Thank you for such a fun and wholesome channel

Just 5 minutes in and had to comment how brilliant this is. Thank you very much! (I literally googled ISO yesterday, and today it makes sense because of your explanation of the history - & I’m old enough to remember it 🤣. Much appreciated)

Very entertaining. I wish I would have that skill. Never approached music instruments in my life, unfortunately. Greetings from Ukraine.
4
Any chance for you to perhaps check out the PinePhone maybe?

I've been using Linux Mint for quite a few years now and I also find it awesome. I use it mainly for coding as I find it quite stable but I also play around with some of the amazing applications available.
4
Woohoo!
4
I used Debian Xfce the non-free version for a while because Xfce development is almost as slow as Debian development. Perfect match imo.
4
Love these videos, Veronica! Hoping to get an Amiga to work on sometime in the future!
4
<3 for captions, really makes my life easier, thanks for being awesome!
4
saw a lot of my favourite vintage computer hosts in this video I think my favourite is Adrian from Adrians digital basement

Home ogging is killing music.
4
Welcome back and thanks for your informative and fun videos! Hope everyone at home is feeling much better. For now, focus on what is really important, and then you can slowly speed it up from there.
4
Very good choice of laptop, I still use my heavily modified Thinkpad T430 as my daily driver and yeah they last you a lifetime :) As for the name my suggestions are: Thicpad (a classic) MetalPad Jeffpad

don't save that ahhgeh!!!!!!!

Now tell the people who wrote the the program that spits out the error message to provide the human readable reason for not ejecting the flash drive like ‚file x is open‘ instead of just ‚sorry can‘t‘
4
Please do a video dual booting
4
Tech video done to perfection. Thank you! And yes, teaching awk too would be great.
4
A lot of this was mad useful thank you Veronica Edit: Please make the awk for beginners vid 🙏

Thanks for the memories. I used to have a $100/month budget in the 80's for computer books and magazines and spent hours a week in the university library. It was inefficient and wonderful. We have definitely lost so much as we've gained just as much. The pace of change makes documentation in printed form impossible. I often miss that pace.
4
Stay strong Linux Mom 💪! I love your work, your charisma and passion for software and hardware. I've learnt a lot from you and I really appreciate it. You're one of my favorite you-tubers from all web. I hope you could accomplish your goals. Greetings from Argentina.
4
I'm looking forward to the continuation of your Amiga story. Thanks.
4
This is a very helpful video, especially showing me the installation. I would also love a dual boot video for fedora
4
Well said! I love your "to each his own" perspective...It's very refreshing to see this in a world of connected anonymity where people tend to say things they'd never dare say to someone's face.
4
I hear they are great!
4
The guitar bit was perfectly accurate haha
4
@VeronicaExplains Doh, indeed you did. I totally zoomed out on that one lol
4
The real question is… When are The Stop Bits playing 1st Ave? Ok ok. The Entry? Ok fine some person’s sketchy basement?
