I first used one of these keyboards back on 1989, when the company I worked for got me a new PS/2 Model 70 (top of the line, with an 8514/A graphics card for a whooping 1024 x 768 resolution :) ... I kept that keyboard for many many years, carrying it on to the newer PCs that the company used over the years, no newere keyboard was better and the windows key didn't meant much to me. When I retired, I did so with that keeyboard among my stuff, and used it for many more years on my home PC, until recently, when motherboards dispensed with the PS/2 interface .. it was really durable, lasting in constant use for over 25 years.   3. I'm loving the STANCE you've taken. As a repair engineer, I'm really looking forward to this and hopefully it will make my and a lot of others jobs easier. Not only will this be good for the consumer but also the planet! Farming equipment sounds like Cough a dear John scenario.. cough As always, you're awesome.

  7. Gnome is always the long part of the process. I don't use the installer, I just grab a tablet and run through the steps. I usually get things going in about 15-20 minutes. I really love Arch, and I don't use it for cred, that's that the Arch T-shirt is for.

  8. Hi! I saw your Video and Subscribed! I bought my first computer at Dolgins', a department store: Commodore Vic-20, then a Commodore-64, then Amiga 500! I wrote a simple space invaders game in basic! I learned basic spending countless hours with Compute's Gazette Magazine: They had printouts of simple, slow videogames you could type in for the cost of the magazine! They had 4 or so programs at the back of each of the Computer Magazines! It sold as, a "Commodore Vic-20, The Friendly Computer!" I had a blast, and I am 56 years old!

  24. Clonezilla works perfectly with Ventoy. I have a small thumbdrive with Ventoy installed with several different distros in it, each focusing on different things and I LOVE it! And what a bossy video! 😄

  29. Great video, hasn't Linux, no matter what flavor, come a long way in the last 10 - 15 years?, i remember getting fee Ubuntu discs with version 6.06 then 9.04 and soon after 10.04 sent by mail. The amount of you tubers out there explaining Linux Distros has grown 10 fold since the old days. I think the percentage of Linux users now has grown to an incredible amount, it would be nice to know the market share of Linux, i don't think it's still hovering around the 2% mark as some stated a while ago, far from it, should be well over 5% and growing but i guess there's no way to know.

I've been interested in Linux and Unix for a long time, but I'm really only getting started with it properly now, and your videos are super helpful; thank you! I really like how you explain things in such an approachable and relaxed way. I'd love to learn more about the history of remote access tools, as it's something I find fascinating too (your video on the Wyse Terminal has got me searching on eBay…). Thanks again and keep doing what you're doing!

  36. I'm a nano user, and sometimes even Kate. I've always just used the tool I'm comfortable with and gets the job done, and it's worked out for me so far. I don't care at all what anyone thinks of my choices, and I'm not going to get in an argument over it. When I see people ask things like "I'm thinking about switching to X. Should I?", I'm always like "I don't know, man. Only you can answer that. Try it. If you like it, then use it. If you don't like it, then don't."

  37. I just returned my iPod Video to service with a new battery and a new SSD - I'd forgotten what a good user experience this thing has. It's also way smaller than I remember it, and carrying it around has been a joy. Also. Dunlop heavy picks are clearly the superior choice :)

  39. I am incredibly grateful to you for creating this video. I am fairly certain that I came across this video after I had tried using Virtualbox to test something within a macOS and Windows VM (and not having a particularly stellar experience). After watching your video I installed kvm on my old 2011 MacBook Pro (running Ubuntu only), in in addition to some other tools called quickemu and quickget, and it was night and day in comparison to my previous attempts at using Virtualbox to create Windows, Linux, and even macOS VMs. Many, many thanks Veronica!

  41. For your information it does work very well with Ventoy. It allows you to also have several of the recovery images for doing system stuff.

  49. I remeber playing, or better trying to play, MegaRace 2 back in the day. It was on my first PC, Windows 95. I remeber it beeing a DOS game, having troubles with controls and drivers. Apparently they even made a third part and the whole series is available on Steam. This brings back a lot of nostalgia. Back when games started to use DirectX and Windows 9x as a platform and stopped relying on MS DOS.
