  12. I 100% agree with a 50/50 split for the creator and the reactor. I do some react content on my second channel and I fully support this. If you look at some BIG react channels (you know who) they are getting 100 Mil+ views a month from react content. Imagine if someone like Zach, who did 750k views in the last 30 days, was paid out 500k views from a react video. That is MASSIVE for any mid sized creator.

If creators remain transparent and honest while they’re growing (and doing stuff like releasing behind the scenes videos and qnas which I feel like have disappeared in modern YouTube), it makes them seem more relatable and down to earth even after they get big Also your advice is great, mad respect to your content grind, hope you grow enough to reach your goal of doing it as a full time job!

One thing though that I think should be added is that although the ad revenue for YouTube shorts is very low, and non existent for TikToks under 1 minute, people with lots of followers/subs are making good money if their shorts have a sponsorship in them. But that is probably a very low % of creators (that I am unfortunately not part of lol but I have some friends who do get some good sponsors for their shorts). Also, hoping your next video is “Shooting 3 pointers for 30 days”

  31. I've been bitching about this for years. My account is nearly as old as YouTube itself and I've seen all the changes through the years (anyone else remember the 5 star rating system before the thumbs up/down system?). One of the major things I miss is being able to to view your own comment history. There was literally a place on your own profile page where you could see every single comment you ever made. I don't know how long ago that was but it seems like ages. Why did that go away? Maybe it was a technological challenge back then, but now? Now that YT is part of the great Google empire? You can search and sort through the vast internet, but you can't remember my (relatively) tiny comment history? That's just one gripe among many that I've had over the years with YouTube comments.

  33. As someone who lived in NC for a year...Sheetz was a magical place in terns of just, something I could rely on being open 24/7 that wasn't McDonald's. That was also just really good. And I could get a redbull? I dunno. It ain't the best place to eat ever, but the food WAS good and convenient. And that was all I really cared about.

  46. Great video. I think the fascination with liminal spaces and dead malls also has something to do with the uncanny valley effect. Our brains know what a mall is supposed to look like, so we find it kind of creepy seeing it out of context like that.

AND THEN YOU COOKED THEM MORE?? 😱 For future reference, the way you had the shrimp after boiling was the perfect doneness for fully cooked shrimp. You didn't need to boil them if you were throwing them into a hot pan. Hope these forays into cooking encourage you to explore more in the world of whole foods (not the store.)
