I hear a lot about English teachers, models, and people who do international business, but I'm curious about professions like scientists, musicians, lawyers, engineers, doctors, etc.

  4. I'm a 43 year old black america man, and I used to wear a lot of Avirex back in 1999-2000 year. Avirex is not that popular like it once was in the mid 90's to early 2000's.   6. Japan always gets a reputation for being xenophobic and for understandable reasons. But I feel like the younger generation is more open minded to foreigners living and working there. Only time will tell. I have a lot of friends in Japan I have met over the years via common Interest on social media I need to stop being lazy and go visit them

  8. Like the girls in the video mentioned, I think generally speaking, Japanese girls tend to want to date or marry other Japanese guys. I think a point that wasn’t mentioned is that Japanese people like to live in a state of comfort—they don’t like to stand out, be uncomfortable, not understand, awkwardness, etc. Thats just how it is for a lot of people in Japan. And being with a foreigner is being in those states. Being with a Japanese guy is just what everybody does and they don’t see why they should go beyond those lines.

As tall as me or taller but not so tall it's awkward, a gentleman, facial hair if it suits them, healthy, you can speak the same language so you understand each other, you want to live in the same place and treats you well.

  17. As someone from West Africa, its definitely always interesting hearing the argument about foreigners having braids. In my country, people love it when foreigners eat our food, speak our local language, dress like us or even have braided hair. So for me personally, I'm not bothered when I see Japanese people with braids 😄. I kinda feel happy actually

Was interested to hear a Japanese guy say that Australian cities might be intimidating, given our cities are like small towns compared to the larger Japanese cities :P But I do understand how he feels, I've always lived in very rural areas, I find Sydney and Melbourne kind of intimidating too.

  22. I remember in the 90's visiting Japan while working for a Japanese company. The USD was so low, everything seemed unbelievably expensive compared to when I was a student there in the 70's. The pendulum swings both ways. So, I think I better visit again now before it eventually swings back.

  27. I think it comes from a place of appreciation so I think it is fine, and cool even. I'm have the belief that individuals can't do cultural appropriation on their on, only companies can, when they use the aesthetics from a group while erasing the contributions to said group.

  33. New York is a vast city. It’s pretty easy for you to get lost while strolling through the streets. I know for a fact that Japanese people have the capacity to adapt well to their surroundings. Sure, not everything is as picture perfect as it seems while living and working/studying in the United States, however there’s plenty of great opportunities around that you just have to pursue, even if it comes with consequences that I know most of us here can withstand and overcome.

  37. I went to Tokyo two weeks ago, and one thing I really like was how integrated foreigners were in society. In comparison to Korea, there were so many foreigners working typical jobs like at Uniqlo, owning their own restaurants, working at the airport, at the mall etc. In Korea yes, some foreigners work in cafes, but usually only part-time. People who are full-time are usually English teachers, students, factory workers, and in rare cases, business people. It was amazing to see how Japan is a bit more accommodating for foreigners wanting to stay long-term in Japan. Also, the foreigners in Japan blow the foreigners in Korea out of the water. Their level of Japanese was truly a beautiful thing to see because, in my experience, there are so many people who've been living in Korea for years and yet cannot have anything more than a basic conversation for their necessities!

Where I live in Ontario Canada homelessness mixed with mental health concerns, drugs and alcohol is quite profound with these amazing individuals even though some people don't see them in that light. You have a natural non-threatening way about yourself and you didn't judge the people you were interviewing. I like the fact you asked for their permission to interview and film them, great work. Does Japan have government social and mental health services to assist these individuals past placing in this area of Osaka? 🤗🍃

  43. Thank you for this Homeless interview and the insight they chose to give. So many ppl would just exploit these ppl which shame and you gave them dignity by sitting down and treating them like human beings. Everyone is deserving of that. My heart is full of compassion, understanding and experience from being Homeless in my 30s. It is rough and dangerous just like that man said. But they are surviving any way they can. Can't thank you enough for bravely tackling this issue. Hope to see more content like this tackling these kinds of difficult subjects. Keep up the great interviews!!! Stay Free

  44. Country side people in Japan are my favorite! I am JPLT L2 grade. So my Japanese is decent but not perfect. When I was living in countryside for a few weeks in Gifu during the summer and the people were so nice to me! They used to think I was Brazilian-Japanese actually! It was fun to talk to the locals about baseball and history (like Sekigahara). They used to tell me I have Japanese spirit which was very kind! I have a good image of rural Japanese people! ❤
