I can't believe the cabin is four years old already. I remember when you first built it. Thanks so much for sharing the journey with us brother!

Looks great! You are proof that the American dream is still alive and I hope you never give up. Be blessed!
59
Thank you for putting in the effort to film and edit these and share with us! ❤

Thank you for that video! My husband and I are in our 60's and just recently started our off grid homesteading life. We couldn't be happier and less stressed. It has always been our dream to live this way and are excited to have the opportunity to pursue our dreams. You are so right about some people not understanding how you can live without indoor plumbing, but quite honestly I don't care what they think. When you think about how much water is wasted flushing toilets and going down the drain, we all need to live more sustainably and mindful of our natural resources.

Wow Kyle the cabin looks wonderful. You did an amazing job!! So happy for you and Ciera getting a well drilled. That is life changing!! That is so nice that you will be able to water your garden and get water to your chickens with a hose. Can’t wait to hear about the well being drilled. I love watching your videos. Keep up the good work!!!!❤

Cierra is a special person to share this dream with you.
57
You’re doing a great job buddy you two should be proud of yourselves
57
Build yourself a nice garage to get the cars/trucks out of the elements. Plus it will give you extra storage.
56
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Can't wait to see the log cabin come together.
55
A few days ago my five year old grandson asked me why I don't make pancakes anymore. I told him because he is never here for breakfast. He looked at me and said "pancakes can be eaten any time of the day". So, we had pancakes for dinner..lol
54
Tell your dad he did really good raising you.
54
It’s a nice feeling to see all that seasoned firewood piled up and ready for use. Your guys place has really come a long way. Such a beautiful place. Looking forward to seeing the build of the new cabin. Thanks for sharing.
54
Been deep OFF GRID for 3 years now, much respect young man.
52
At 60 years old and having three offspring you're age I must say how PROUD I would be IF my kids did what YOU ARE DOING!!! Hell ...I'm proud of you! Thank you!
52
When you said “I’m in my element.” That’s gold. I strive for that in this busy world. :)

been in similar winter situation - - - found that a SKIRT (we used hay bales the first winter) made a GREAT difference - - - next year we had sheets of tin roofing (easy to carry when moving unit) - - - thanks for letting us watch - - keep up the good work - STAY SAFE

How does this channel not have at least 100k subs? Constantly amazing cabin building content. Maybe there is a better way to word the videos to be more relevant in searches? "Free log cabin build" idk either way awesome work man!
52
Kyle, I am so glad I got to know you so many years ago. Always knew you were someone special . Love the videos and your work ethic. My wife and myself really are amazed with you ..and skeeter..and Cierra.
51
You can take pride knowing that you hung every stud, hand drove every nail and turned ever screw in your cabin. Nice, clean layout and build plan bud!
51
Really great to see Cerria once again! Hope she is pretty well healed. Of course seeing Skeeter and Kitty Kat is ALWAYS a treat. As usual Kyle your video calms the savage heart. 💪🤗👍👫😺🐶 ❤
51
Merry Christmas to you, Sierra, Skeeter and the chickens too. Shout out to Bruce as well.

A trappers cabin was called a "tilt" by old timers in Labrador. Their door and walls were low for easy heating. The wood stove was very crude build and tend to smoked a lot hence the old "smokes like a tilt" saying on bad stoves. Great build and thanks for sharing, enjoyed!
50
Hope cierra has a speedy recovery. That’s a tough injury! Take good care of her. Love the upcoming changes to your cabin. Take care
50
I look forward to your videos more than any other channel. Thank you.

I wish I had half the energy that Skeeter has, I can see how much he loves you both with or without the bacon treats haha. ⛄️

Skeeter can upstage anyone and pretty much steal any scene that he's in. He's always the icing on the cake for these great videos with great video quality, good subject matter and great narration. Thanks again.
49
I thought you were a builder! Do what you want. You create how you want. We love watching your cabin build. Hi from Kansas City.
49
Love seeing the moose at the cabin! Yeah it would be a cozy place to spend the winter for sure! Hope Cierra is healing well! Skeeter was in heaven out there in the woods! Kitty was chillin in the loft! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
49
Wow! You say you're not a carpenter? One heck of a DIYer for sure. Heck of a lot of work but debt free! Looking real good! Well thought out! Thanks for sharing the video!
48
I really like the stones on the bottom! Looking great!

Your generation should be all over offgrid living if the younger generations aren't all talk when they say they care about the planet. Don't worry about what others think. It's outstanding that you are doing what your doing.
48
If you have eggs straight from the chickens you don't need to store them in a refrigerator/cooler. They should stay fresh for weeks (even months, we usually use them up sooner so can't tell exactly how long). Important thing is that you do not wash them if you plan to store them. Just put them someplace dray and dark. This should help you save some space in your cooler 😉 Store bought eggs (already refrigerated) have to be stored in a refrigerator.
48
This country needs more of you young people who haven't fallen for the worldly insanity and B.S.! You give we older folks some hope for the country. God Speed.
47
That is so fantastic! Debt free is the way to live! Not needing needless stuff is the key. And the ability to add on is always there! So happy for you both.
47
The future's so bright...i gotta wear shades! You're an inspiration to the upcoming generation Brother! We Gen Xr's are proud of you! 🥂
47
Just start a new channel and keep the Cabin channel for the cabin. Simple and easy. That's my 2 cents! ;)
47
This is the most clear and educational video I have ever watched about off the grid living. I didn’t even know you had to shave a log to eliminate gaps. I’m so happy to have this knowledge
46
This channel needs a two thumbs up button!!
46
How much money do you need per year? Do you make money? If so how much? Just curious, thanks!
46
Dick Proenneke would have been proud to call you a kindred spirit! Thank you for sharing off grid adventures. Fast recovery to cierra. Hugs to Skeeter!
46
When I was 12 years old in 1966 I spent a summer in Northern MN at my aunt and uncle's log cabin and I remember wondering how they built it. The cabin was built in 1908 and was a large cabin. Watching you build cabins has answered a lot of things I wondered about at a very young age when I would look at the construction of the cabin. Thanks so much, I love your videos!!!
46
I don’t think u will ever get bored with that mad dog around. He’s very cute.
45
Is it bad that I watch your vids particularly because of Skeeter? Such a great dog. ❤️🐶. You are a lucky man.
45
The best thing about a log outhouse is that you are always adding logs.
45
When it comes to the world of investing, most people don't know where to start.fortunately, great investors of the past and present can provide us with guidance
44
I was literally sitting at work sad that I just finished your last video and then poof this 20 minute vid pops up. Love your videos man. One day I'll have some of my own cabin to share.
44
My message for the critics: I guess that to make YouTube worth his time Kyle decided to do a few promotional videos. Considering what I'm paying him ($0) for the content that I like it is hard to complain that he posts this stuff once in a while. Kyle seems like a great guy and he is definitely talented. Even though he apparently has to find a way to generate some cash I still can't help but admire him.
44
That is a very nice touch for storage of your fire wood inside. Looks great and will look even better after Cierra gets done with it. As for your boo boo, if that's the worst it gets, you're doing good. Thanks for another great video.
44
This folks, is how you positively use youth energy!
44
Of all the cabin builds I've looked at on youtube, this is my favorite. Fast build.. not too expensive.. a very well-thought-out design and build process.. I will be taking a lot of pointers from these videos for my build this summer! Thank you!
