A cabin you built yourself, your dog, your girl. Life doesn't get much better...

It’s always good to know that you have plenty of firewood when you need it Kyle. Always enjoy watching your videos. Makes me wish I was younger and could do what you’re doing now. I’ll be there in a heartbeat. You, Cierra, Skeeter and little kitty. All take care.

Looking good guys! Smart to be mortgage free
34
So warm and cozy, You guys are doing an excellent job!!! Love all the womanly touches ♥
34
I have the same routine for my water needs, rain water catchment in the summer and either melt snow or cut through the lake ice and get water from there in the winter. Been doing it that way for 8 years.
34
keep Skeeter save from those wolves❤️
34
This gives me an excuse to take a 12 minute break from packing 😂 Thanks Kyle!
34
Treasure these times with you dad, kyle. Trust me, these are the memories you'll clutch when he's gone.
33
That chinking looks soooo much better than spray foam 👍
33
You have a beautiful lady, family and life Kyle. May it long last my friend.
33
Nice job Kyle you just gave me a way to store my snowmobiles and my firewood, I may do sheet metal for the roof due to a lot of trees around me. This construction is a lot cheaper than a pole barn. Thanks👍
33
You guys are moving right along, it’s looking great.
33
This is so fun to watch!!!! Better than ANY cable channel!!!
33
How's blessed you are to be able to have a cabin like that!
33
My opinion is "Sierra's Cabin" fits accordingly. Or is it "Cierra's Cabin" ? Non the less, look forward to a true off grid woman's perspective. Keep up the thoughtful, quality, profesional content!
33
It is so exciting to see you make such great progress! I am stoked for you and can’t wait to see you enjoying what you’ve worked so hard on.
33
What a beautiful, peaceful place to spend cozy winter nights. 💚
33
You two are a true inspiration. You are living your authentic life, and your happiness shows. Don't ever change.
33
It's so fun to see your progress on everything, and I appreciate how hard you work and how honest you are about what you'd do differently. God bless you and your sweet family!!! 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️

Man I wish I was there with you and your Dad. I always loved framing. Being a lefthander, I love seeing your Dad sling the hammer. Your lucky to have your Dad help with the build. You guys are doing a great job The camera lady is doing a great job also. I'm looking forward to the rest of the build. Work safe, make some good memories with your Dad. Thanks for the video Kyle and Sierra, hope I spelled that right. God Bless.
32
What a great way to start the new year. Congrats!!!
32
Hi Kyle, wow you guys really did hit gold with that guy. That’s so good. Good things come to good people.. really happy for you guys.
32
It looks really nice and it will all come together. Nice job on decorating, Sierra.
32
Looks very good without that wall in the middle. Improvements are looking really nice. Excited to see the final products!
32
I am amazed at how much you get done by yourself. Looking great!
32
Not knocking anything. "I", would have a good pot of coffee going all the time! LOL But that's just me, I'm sure nobody else would think that!
32
Your doing a real nice job on that floor! When nailing boards together for a beam or header, always nail the nails at a slight downward angle so the weight pushing down later will force the boards together. Always check boards for a crown ( the natural bow in all boards) and make sure all crowns are up, uses the natural strength of the board to resist weight above it!
32
Nothing better than hiking back to the cabin and seeing smoke coming out of the chimney and knowing you’re headed into the cozy warmth inside. All the best to you guys and Merry Christmas!
32
Wow Kyle, you are quite the salesman. The only thing that would make the Ecoflow presentation any better would be a cameo appearance by Skeeter.
32
I think you're doing a great job with the cabin and your animals. Keep up the good work. Enjoy your videos such a smart young man.
31
I would love to spend some time alone in a cabin like that. Well done Kyle.
31
I applaud Cierra and you for making your dreams come true. I can not wait to see how it will look when y’all are finished. I know you and her have so many plans and that’s a good thing. I really enjoyed watching your cabin and now the homestead. Thank you both for sharing.
31
Great job with the porch, Kyle! The more I see you and Cierra putting in so much effort into your home and property, the deeper my respect for both of you becomes. So good to see Skeeter again! Take care, all of you. 🌹

We put a sheet metal roof on our house with a 12/12 loft roof pitch. The peak was 27' above the ground. I'm glad I was through having children when we got finished sliding across the peak putting up the ridge cap. It took the wife and myself two years to finish up our house, but we also built most of our furniture, all our interior doors, bifold doors, some of the kitchen cabinets, the butcher block countertop and about everything else in it. When I go back and look at our own videos I don't think I could start over and do it again. But then again, we were already in our 60's when we started this journey a little more than two years ago. We enjoy watching a young fella doing it for his own family and can imagine all of the years you'll have to enjoy it. If you get the chance, check out what we built and let us know what you think!
31
Scrap the 'BEAR' mini fridge, put the guts in the styrofoam fridge, forget the ice blocks in summer. Still have vented cooling in winter.
31
Good on you mate. Zero debt is THE lifestyle.
31
Kyle, there are some things chickens need in the winter to keep them laying eggs (based on experience). Four square feet of space per chicken in the coop 15 hours of light per day Plenty of clean water that does not freeze A heater to prevent frostbite (temperatures below 10 degrees F) More protein in their food (I use 16% layer feed mixed 50/50 with 30% game bird feed giving a protein of 23%) And, more whole dry corn (not cracked corn) in their feed
31
It’s a good way for other people to see what’s out there for off grid living. Thanks Kyle!
31
A cookie sheet is light and doesn't take up much space, a better alternative than tinfoil, keeps things level should the ground or snow melt, been using them for years in hot tents
30
Wow....you have really created a masterpiece. You guys have been busy. Well done. Greetings from Mpumalanga South Africa.
30
Kyle you should keep the paw prints on the door. Thats a nice touch to the door. Years from now you can remember Skeeter everytime you see them. Just a thought. Great job guys.
30
All of these conveniences of modern life, the constant comfort, low challenge, overfed, safety netted lives, only push us farther from experiencing our one wild and precious life!
30
I look forward to your videos every week! Wishing you and your family a happy holiday!
30
Nice fish. You haven’t got a lot of snow this winter. Looking forward to the next log cabin video. I started watching when you had 30,000 subscribers, now you’re almost at a quarter million. Good for you! I do enjoy your videos.
30
The sound of the snow under your feet is so comforting! That beautiful dog is everything!❤️
30
I don’t think I’ve seen a dog eat bacon so slow. Lol
30
Nice job on trying to hold up your cabin from storms. I totally agree with you about wanting that to be an open concept less having to worry about heating two rooms instead of one big room. I would love the open area better.
30
I live completely off grid with running water. Pretty easy to create a low point in your plumbing with a drain valve. Can leave anytime and not have to worry about pipes freezing. I live in cascade mountains.
30
I’m so glad everything is working out for you guys
30
It sounds to me that U have your priorities right. I been living like that now for 30 yrs. Work the summer and Forget the World all winter. I'm 57 and still dont have Any Gray Hair. My two older Brothers. Silver and never leaned what there little Brother tells them. I have no cares. I Live good, Eat good and I Live Free. U by far are on the Right Path. There's a lot of up's and down's. Stick with it. There's Nothing U Can't Accomplish ! Peace Bro
