  14. I’d say really reassess your spending habit over the holiday (that’s just passed) period. Too many people are having to really squeeze their pennies during the beginning of the year because of overspending and the need to completely disregard their usual budget.

I find myself being sucked in again - during Covid. The challenge is not if we can work and grow - the challenge is to work and grow DESPITE all the noise...

  25. As long as you can rent it for more than your monthly payment, it doesn’t matter if the market crashes. Focus on that. Buy cheap, force equity, and ride it out. The crash will affect those who aren’t prepared (aka, the majority)

Now if you’re buying homes to flip or rent then that’s an investment. 😉 it really all comes down to being honest with yourself and knowing what you have.

  29. Thanks for sharing this. Although I am continuing to DCA into stocks, I too paid $500K+ in taxes and had the same feeling as you. I am currently contemplating ways on how to pay less in taxes. Sending that amount in for taxes, all I could think about was all the things I can do with it...It is definitely bittersweet. Again, thanks for sharing. Great job as always.

  36. The health insurance company that I work for was well ahead of their time with the whole work at home thing. I’ve partially worked from home for the past few years and my step mother who works for the same company is going on 7 years of working at home full time (goes in office maybe once a year). People used to think it was crazy, asking “how do you get anything done at home?” Now, people are actually seeking work at home jobs. Oh how times have changed and I’ll be the first to admit..masses of people working at home now is Weird but we all have to adjust

You don’t have to be doing this and yet here you are explaining to us exactly how it needs to be done. Things that are not taught by your parents things that are not taught in school. Thank you so very much. I’ve already paid off all of my bad debtand I’m in the process of saving for an emergency fund and have some retirement invested in the market that is doing well, and I’m hoping to save up for a down payment for a rental property at some point in the near future hopefully.
