  5. Been watching minority mindset for awhile now and Jespreet has really shown me a lot. I started putting away more in my 401k and trying to change a lot of spending habits (still working on it). Trying to still figure out investments, but have been sticking to a few companies I think will grow. Thanks for all the help!

  18. I knew I had a minority mindset since I was a kid. My biggest epiphany was in college in 1998. That's when I realized we were being lied to. I, too, am Indian. I wasn't very good in school and I didn't want to take the traditional route Indian parents push their kids. I thought I was doomed for failure. Once I realized I can create my own path, my mind opened up completely.

  21. One of the craziest things I’ve seen work is setting up automatic withdrawals from your paychecks to go into a separate account you can’t touch. If $50 comes out each paycheck you might not even notice it’s gone after a while.

  41. You’re so right—saving needs to be strategic. You can’t just be saving money and piling it up, otherwise you’ll always lose to inflation. Needs to get invested in the market, used to pay off debt (particularly high interest debt), invested in your new business venture, etc. SOMETHING so it’s actually working for you instead of sitting there.
