  3. I'm a 57 year old woman, recovering from a hip replacement. I work in a call centre, 12 hour shifts, minimum wage. I get paid on the 26th of each month. My rent comes out on the 27th, then all the bills are direct debit on the 1st of the month...after which I am left with between £125-150 to last until the 26th of next month. I hate my life, despise it, but until my health improves, I see no way out. 10 years ago, I was ok, could get along, a bit better than now, even have weekends away. Now I can't even afford a damned haircut. But I'm supposed to smile and be grateful for the smallest of things when all I want to do is cry each day.

  9. I've been there mate. 47 and spent 14 years in a low paid, dead end job that pretty much crushed my spirit over the years. Always living pay day to pay day and never having any savings. The feelings of anxiety on a Sunday evening knowing another 5 and a half days of misery was to come. The very first thought that came into my head of a morning was often "I can't wait until this all over". Covid coming along pretty much saved me. Our company put us on furlough then made us all redundant at the end. I used my redundacy money to start a small business. I'm in no way making a lot but I'm in a much better position than I've ever been in my working life. Most importantly though, I'm happy and no longer get feelings of dread about the coming work week, or have nihilistic first thoughts on a morning. I hope you catch a break and make something happen bud.

  15. Mate life is hard. I feel your pain. My rent plus electric and gas bills are killing me. Single dad, work as much as i can and barely scrape by. But, i dont know where you live but if you have kids, just take them to the countryside. Drive out, take some fucking ham sandwiches, and run around. Ive being going to dartmoor, lucky enough to have moved nearby. And its great and cheap to just get some fresh air. The stress of life is too much, my daughter hates school, they are on my case. You, we, have to look after ourselves in order to take care of our families. But they dont make it easy. Fair play to you for making the video brother. I wish you all the best.

I don't know how the algorithm got me to your channel, but it's strange, because last night I was thinking about how expensive everything is and how lucky I am to be in a position where money isn't a worry and how f**ked most people are. Your video is a reminder to me and everyone lucky enough to be in my position that things are NOT ok. And I genuinely have to bite my tongue in business circles when other business owners complain about taxes or paying more employers national insurance, because they really don't know what life is like for most!   25. 40 this year totally fed up as well mate. Its a nightmare i cant cover my rent this month for this first time in 10 years its gone form £600 to £900 a month and i cant keep up man. I don't know what to do anymore. Knackered dont even wanna get out of bed some days but we have to do what we have to do. Summer will make us feel better mate the winter blues are real over here. The sad truth here is you represent a large slice of dads out there, working & providing for their family and at the same time being fucked over by the UK system. 47 year old here, worked solid for 25 years in what was a well paid job. Now everything’s so expensive, salaries never increase much so you end up slowly worse off year by year, but we keep grinding as that’s what we do. Keep reaching for the starts my mate all the best!!

I'm in my sixties and mental health especially depression has been such a burden.. family bereavements when young was the start and it's been an on off battle ever since, I know it's affected adult relationships..I think we are born to go through certain experiences and cope best we can...
