Blow it up

short answer : No.

It's a crime not using it to prevent disease, that's for sure. I don't know if I should wait with making children until this technology is available, I am 26 now, maybe I should wait with children until I am 46, but I kind of want kids already lol

Are those bacteriophages you are referencing? Those bacteria in the animation look a lot like bacteriophages.

I hope you build up your userbase again, your production value and content are on par with the best science communicators on the platform, your videos deserve to reach (and educate/entertain) more people! Have you considered making some form of collab with Tom Scott? He's on the lookout for people to cooperate with, it'd be nice to boost your viewerbase.

Thanks!

this is the best explanation out there about the breakthrough been heard about this for weeks
3
Wow, such a great explanation

I have no idea where to start with it - and I could not afford the school anyway.

Great content! Thanks š

I once played a game that also had roulette in it and tested that strategy, I was a teen and hyped because I thought it could work, I quickly realized how often I have to bet 100,000+ just to get 10 profit, eventually I lost everything. It's the worst strategy ever, because the more you bet (which you have to do a lot with that strategy), the less time you have fun gambling but the title is clickbait, because it doesn't beat roulette

Once ignition is reached, how do they intend to maintain the reaction and harness it? It sounds a bit like trying to harness lightning.

Some Chubby Emu inspo in that intro š

Can you explain the debate on whether entanglement can be used for instant communication?
3
I'd love to see too!

Awesome stuff Dr. Ben!!

Awesome explanation, thanks!

First time I got suggested a Video of yours. Highly interesting and very well made. thx and count me in

I only own one shirt.

Protolyst looks nice. I would love to see a video comparing it to competing products, Diigo, Mendeley, and many of the other various "annotation manager" browser extensions/software.

One of your best videos I reckon. Although I found the choice of visuals bizarre, almost as if you didnāt really choose to use them. I think of myself as a determinist and I think all our actions are influenced, not just on a quantum particle level but also on a social, abstract, less tangible level too. The only problem I have with my philosophy is how the randomness of quantum mechanics kind of ruins it. š

Totally forgot I subbed, but glad I did.

This felt like a trick question since the answer wasnāt even the nozzles lol. Thanks for teaching. The funny thing is that i never felt confident enough to answer and i bet others felt that too. I feel like the answers are in the subconscious but we couldnāt pull it up. Like back of the tongue thing. I think itās because we knew we were missing something. Too much focus on one end.

GOD I love this!! What an amazing presentation on such a razor thin line of rapid progressive technology evolution!! WOW!!
2
I think you made a mistake at 9:48, shouldnāt it be āconverting another neutron into a protonā?

this is magic to me

wow ! this is a great video ! thanks Ben !

Ā @DrBenMilesĀ the whole concept of a hybrid, such as a Prius, is to use the electric motors and battery in those situations of highest ā fuel usage.ā For example acceleration in city the hybrid synergy drive takes precedence to save gas. The same could be done with battery packs in large aircraft to supplement or even displace the Jet A turbines while taking off ( large fuel usage and high power demand) or landing ( high power demand on approach). Thereās also noise advantages, particularly in those areas whereās thereās noise restrictions or flight time restrictions.

It seems that differential sensing is no different than some of the AI being applied to FSD (full self drive) auto tech. Just as Rosa might not be able to tell you WHY it thinks sample A represents disease X, Tesla may not be able to tell you WHY the car applied the breaks for a fraction of a second in situation Z. The "black box" might be hard to defend in court when a collision lawsuit is brought, but for disease detection the downside is seemingly significantly less.

I'm hoping that as I write this your future actions will include reading it ! I am impressed with all your videos and very impressed with your abilities as a Salesman ! I will invest in Master Works ! In addition I'd like to say that as a 1975 student of physics at the University of California Irvine all my teachers supported 'Steady State Theory' while I alone voiced support for a Primordial Explosion Theory ! I also postulated that the PET concept must also allow for the existence of Non-Space Space in order for the PET to have somewhere to explode ! Having an area that existed beyond the boundary of PET (Big Bang) was not welcome and I was shunned by my Professors. As a result, I became a Draftsman. At least in this version of the Universes ! Thanks for reading this Dr. Miles.

Thank you for sharing! As someone who is in the thought process of also thinking of taking a PhD in Physics, it is really helpful. You are the ONLY ONLY ONLY science communicator online who quantified how much progress in laser efficiency has happened in the past 20 years! Thank you! NOBODY else mentioned those numbers at 9:45. Not even Sabine Hossenfelder. She also got sloppy with her poor analysis about the health effects from using cellphones and cellphone towers, by never including how they are used in PRACTICE.

Thanks for the interesting video, what is the definition of observer? Does it have to be human (or alive in the traditional sense with some form of sensory input) or does artificial intelligence also count?

Thanks!

Hi Ben, another excellent video. I'm interested to know, are those micro forceps used under the microscope manipulated entirely by skilled hand, or by some other machine assisted means?

I appreciate your videos both those which offer your perspective as a postdoc moving out of academia, and those on interesting research topics and applications. Theyāre thoughtful and well produced, and I hope you continue to find time to share your insight here
