electrolysis argument is vaild from my perspective. Given how much water there is, it's level of salination, size (or rather surface area) of nodules and nodules' composition it doesn't neccessairly mean that there's something to be "depleted". One battery electrolyzing 1000 liters of water will run out quickly, million batteries doing the same amount of water will continue to bubble until water runs out.
There's also important correlation between level of salination to the electrolysis happening, pure distilled water doesn't electrolyze, but when you add salt - process starts. Also keep in mind that sea water isn't only h2o+table salt, but manganese, magnese, sodium and bunch of other minerals. This means that product of electrolysis is h2+o2+ deposit which might add to overall nodule. yeah, science bitch
