I absolutely love radiacode, I have the 101 and the 102. I actually made the map data featured at 7:10 😮 The spiciest rock I've found is about 300 micro sieverts per hour, It's been such a fun hobby and I found so many cool things and talked to interesting people because of it 👍👍

Cool! And I definitely opt for more David Bowie samples.

The simple conceit of trying to think a thought before you've thought it, puts free will to bed. You're just a passive observer of your thoughts and actions, like watching a computer game playthrough with the controller not plugged in, your brain constantly and subtley making you believe you're the one controlling the action.

Thanks

This was a very interesting topic, I'd love to hear more Ben :)

if i was to send an interstellar signal i would use a quantum mechanics telephone not an electromagnetic device

Well done I appreciate your ability to communicate with the layman (me)

You’re brilliant at explaining the world. Great videos. Would love to watch a video about a fact all virologists agree on and that is (a physical virus has never been found in any living thing) What does this mean? The only physical viruses found have to be grown in a lab before they can be seen. Why is this ? it’s puzzling. They can detect a virus in living things but can’t physically find one. It’s Like having a metal detector going off all the time but when you dig into the ground you find nothing. Very strange.

Hi Dr. MIles. I just subscribed to your channel after stumbling onto your video about oncologic viruses. Upon perusing your list of past videos I found the subject matter to be very interesting and you seem to have a unique and refreshing approach as well. Also, you have a voice and manner that's very appealing and easy to listen to which is crucial imo. Good luck, not that you'll need it. I'm quite sure you'll be very successful here and hope you find making these videos satisfying so that you'll continue to make them for a very long time.

Great video, thank you!

Ben: "Gimli, let's go on a long walk." Gimli: “I'm wasted on cross-country. We dwarves are natural sprinters! Very dangerous over short distances!”

Great video!

You taught me something very interesting as well as making me laugh with these crazy names. Thanks Doc!

You recently did a bit about retrocausality. If retrocausality is real, how does that fit in? Edit: Also @DrBenMiles Tolstoy would have loved you. You should read War & Peace if you have not already.
2
Thank you, Ben! Something a even a mechanical engineer like me could follow at least part of it!
2
Why do some of your videos only get 1k-8k, and some get 100k-300k? i have never seen such variable view counts.
2
G'day Ben, that was a very informative presentation on a topic I know nothing about, but I do know a little bit about cows and If I may add that cows farting methane isn't the problem it's them belching it that is the current concern. The CSIRO are working on a seaweed additive which is included to their feed ration as a supplement that drastically reduces the output of methane 👍.

Extraordinary claims require evidence, not extraordinary evidence. Just like any other claim.

Man if only I knew Santa’s current quantum state, I could teleport him directly to my house!

thank you so much for this video I really needed it ^^ I've seen way too many vague and exagerating claims about this discovery, it's nice to know what exactly it was xD

Excellent video and great summary Ben ♥

Nunavut! Or Georgia (the country).

I love how the lead singer of system of the down is now hardcore into science. I hope they get back together and make a new album.

Is this Professor Ross Gellar pretending to have a British accent?

I just stumbled upon our channel and now I'm subscribed. Great channel.

I say same way because the way the water would push the ends as it’s sucked in is the same as it moving because pushed out. The curve changes the directions but it’s just making an area and the pressure shoots the water out and the force pushes back on the heads. Sucking would cause the heads to be pushed as well in the same direction because the heads are taking the pressure from the forces because of angle and design.

An amazingly informative video! Thank you 🙌🏽

It's not what tools you possess, it's how you use them.

I've just got on to your videos mate and I love your ability to explain really technical things, in this case maths... As for me I didn't go past year 8... 😅 And yet I understand exactly everything you're explaining.. I could be partly because I spent a year or so trialing and tweaking the Martin Gale strategy on roulette on roulette on the downtime of my night shifts 😅 Another great video mate And I can definitely say from experience... 7-9 x red or black comes up way more often than most people think One strategy I used and use in casinos when I'm rarely out at them with mates is watch for the tables that have previously had a run of 6-9 x one colour or odd / even and then use the strategy for a short amount of time as you mentioned then walk away with your winnings It's a fun trick to do in front of your mates as they think you are some kind of genius 😅

Can't we just duct tape together (by the tip of the wing) enough small electric planes to create a large one for 300 passengers? Could we consider that a single airplane?

I’m only here for the dog. I haven’t got the energy for anything else.

You should reach out to Elon Musk, I’d love to hear his thoughts on this issue. Technology and innovation should solve this problem.

I always love your videos Dr. Miles. I think that it is great that you are sharing the news of recent science and breakthroughs. I share some of your videos with my college professors and piers and we all enjoy them as we are Engineering. Keep up the great work. You should really get more recognition for what you are doing. Can't wait to see the next vid!

@DrBenMiles That sounds interesting. Anything that demonstrates the fluidity intended behind Protolyst would be appreciated. Understandable if it's not much yet, as it's still beta, but it'd be awesome to have the amount of various embedded content support eventually be wide and large. Having support for some sort of embedded interactive notebook, such as Jupyter/Codelab/Mathematica, would be amazing.
