What a horrible, continuing fiasco. Thank you both for your continual updates on the geopolitical situation. By the way, I also watch Syriana Analysis, and Kevork is excellent. I am glad that your father complimented his channel, as he deserves a greater audience (as do you two!).

It somehow lifts my spirit just to watch you two guys interact with each other. The fact that your dad is uncommonly well read and well spoken and you're mature and wise enough to bring out the right topics and then to listen and defer to him is just the icing on the cake.   25. You guys are a reason why I visit this channel. Very objective and smart analyses of geopolitics. The decline of the US empire is permanent because none of the successive administrations after Biden shall be compelled to double down on these imperialistic policy practices, instead of using any soft power. That is a catalyst for these other centers of power to come together, build counter strategies that will eventually bring the empire to its knees.

I am nothing to do with it all, though. It’s an abomination now. Your conversations offer some solace in a Western world now bent out of shape.

  38. I love your show; I listen to it often while I work. I'm envious and jealous that you get to hang out with your old man and can have substantive conversations...my father died 9 years ago, and we had a great relationship and good times together. Enjoy that shit as long as you have it! At any rate, keep putting out great conversations! The new thumbnails are a bit much, though. But whatever! It is very fun to watch your father dance around starting to like Trump...I understand his perspective, but it is fun to watch. Also, the biggest issue I have with Trump is Gaza...though, I'm beginning to think that he was trying to force Arab countries to do something by threatening the riviera idea. I was horrified at first, but now that the Arab countries (some anyway) came up with another option. If this works, I'm out of reasons to dislike what the man is doing with his second term. If he can shuffle out Bibi, that would be awesome. We live in some really strange frightening and cool times, friends!

I feel there's a certain parallel how general understanding of politics changed after the cold war in line with both sides of the Atlantic. To compare, I remember in my country we actually still had several leftist parties which all dissolved after USSR fell at the beginning of 90's. Even though U.S. has been a two-party state for the longest time, and Finland has had this much more fragmentary multi-party landscape, I still find the general developments have been awfully reminiscent of the switch in America, including how even the main concepts of left and right were redefined here, too. It was sort of an intellectual conquest of remaining socialist thought across the west. But I digress, perhaps I need to dissect my impressions on recent political history of Finland further for a better description.
