  10. Denial of reality is a way they unconsciously protect themselves from the pain. They believe the lies not to feel vulnerable to the truths and it's consequences. If they reveal the truth they feel betrayed and lose faith in their own ability to make good judgments. To protect themselves from the pain and their ego boundaries. If a healthy person criticizes their actions they take it personally and feel their entire identity at risk. In order to keep their illusory self happy they harm or attack others by any means to save their ego. Ego likes security and repetition. That's why ego driven people engage in constant battles.   42. Greetings from Finland. Once again excellent discussion, gentlemen. It's funny you pointed out the gap of fact and media at the start. For me, foreign affairs started to make much more sense after I pretty much ditched all the usual (national) news channels altogether, of course after having found better channels of information. Here they mostly buy the information straight from American news sources and recycle it with a national rubber stamp. Nowadays I may check a news item or another to get impression of what is supposed to be the public opinion but honestly, it's more convenient to go straight to relevant YT channels just to get the analysis behind the usual media bravado, and not bother with wading through what majority would regard a reliable source. It's such a sad state of affairs even to a point of being a tad humorous.
