  12. Regarding how USA's electrical system and appliances and grounding work, you nailed it exactly. In my case, I knew all these things by 1968 (at age 9) by reading my father's books on electricity and electronics (which is why I ended up becoming a computer programmer and an electronics engineer as my professions). But most humans haven't a clue as to how electricity, electronics, computers, or other technology works. Your explanation of grounding in US appliances and home electrical systems is exactly correct: "ground" (and the all-important G-to-N cross-coupler in the main electrical panel) is there to trip breakers quickly in the even that hot shorts to the outer metal case of an appliance. (This is why electrical apparatuses not having metal cases usually use two-wire cords and plugs: no need for ground because no metal case to shock people.) As for Japan, the information in this video was all news to me, because I knew nothing about Japan's electrical system. Thanks for enlightening me. In short, a well-made video. I just subscribed to your channel.

  14. Hi Andrew I Don't know if you know this but my former bussiness consultant is on the UL 217 committee he did a Full scale test in about 2000 showing that photo electric is better in smoldering fires

  16. Quite unfortunately this race to make the cars heavier has resulted not only in higher fuel and material usage but most importantly is high pedestrian injuries. At the same time as drivers injuries were going down, pedestrian injuries and deaths went up.

  26. Awesome video. You def need to do a part 2 and 3 to share your research. Being short, I always loved bigger cars, eg a pickup. But I could never justify them bc of the usual poor gas mileage. But then we had kids and we got a minivan, which I loved. And recently I got a rivian. But I’m conflicted bc I know the 7k lbs will selfishly better protect my family. My 6-3 husband loves his small cars, but I don’t feel safe w the kids in his cars. The problem is that I see too many distracted drivers in the road.

This was my first video of yours and I really enjoyed it and think you should do the other parts of the tire mounting process like the alignment and balancing. I am glad you're all in. This sort of content is going to be way more interesting and fulfilling than the one time view of a dash cam review when going to purchase. Expanding to a more general engineering on cars and farm equipment will bring me back for sure. I'm not looking for another dash cam, you know what I mean lol.

  32. Can I view/stream videos from the dash cam to my cell phone? I don't care about remote viewing, but I'd like to be able to show law enforcement any video of an incident on the scene versus giving them my card to take back to the station.

  33. Glad to see such a great explanation of this and a good breakdown of the differences. There's a reason I have both types of detector in my house, and I didn't just choose where each type was placed at random. The spots more prone to a fast starting, flaming fires have ionization detectors, and the rest are photoelectric.

I'll be happy to answer any questions :) Until recently I didn't own a car (it's my first one), but the knowledge that dash cams exist in general have always been there in the back of my head. Plus my brother owns one since a few years now (XBlitz P500). Actually, I bought mine even before buying my new car, so I can have it immediately inside. In my opinion the dash cam is a must (especially if you live in the city with a lot of traffic), so you have the footage of any dangerous situations or collisions recorded. It's very helpful for your insurance company or the police to have a proof. I haven't decided yet if I should use the parking mode, because I only have a front cam and I own my parking space in the underground garage, so the risk of getting hit by another car or being vandalized is minimal imo. Regarding my choice of Viofo, at first I was about to buy 70mai Pro, but I watched a detailed comparison between A119 v3, 70mai and some Thinkware (by TVPizdys channel) and changed my mind in favor of Viofo A119 v3 (after that I watched a few more videos about A119 v3) and I don't regret paying a little extra to have this video quality :) Greetings from Poland, thanks for your reviews, Andrew!
