  1. Thank you for all the replies. I actually ordered the A119 without the logger, because $10 (believe it or not) really does make a difference now. I can see how it can be less useful in court and I did notice in other videos the camera really sticks out more. I don't believe that I'll be removing it often. If I find myself needing it, I know it's available by Spy Tec for about $12 (I contacted them and they said that their hard-wire kit has a warranty also). I also purchased the 633x card, because it was a decent price and the Transcend was not available. I just want an automatic way for the camera to start recording when I turn the key - I have done Google research and found that the windshield wiper fuse is a great spot, as those don't work without the key turned to ACC/ON. Overall, I want to thank you both for your replies and genuine answers, as well as a good review. I shop mostly based on reviews (that's why I considered the Rexing in the first place), but your review swayed me to the A119. Thank you so much for your help and your good reviews. When money isn't so tight, I'll be on the lookout for your videos for a rear camera as well. Thanks!

  5. If this video recommendation isn't proof that your phone is always listening to you I don't know what is. A few hours ago my wife and I were walking into Walmart and she happened to mention as we're walking through the parking lot that I should probably get a new dash cam soon as my old one had failed a few months ago. Fast forward to now and here we are. Good video, and I appreciate the information (and will act on it), but I haven't watched or searched for a dash cam video in over 2 years. No reason for youtube to recommend it to me other than that conversation earlier. Kinda creepy lol.

  6. I just bought the Rexing V1 WiFi Dash Cam for $80, before watching the video. Can anyone recommend to have it or return it back? I thought WiFi is a good option to have and it has a super capacitor.

  9. the ''firefighters using elevators'' part honestly surprised me, because every elevator has a sign saying "in case of fire, use the stairs" so i always thought elevators are not usable due to the heat breaking their systems... never would have guessed it was to save firefighters valuable time and effort to reach higher up areas in flats and other tall buildings

  10. For the underground storage facilities with permeable membrane bottoms, how to they stop the build up of sediment in these systems? Won't sediment eventually build up and reduce the storage capacity of these systems?

  12. Interesting. Went to see what other vids you do, and found I've watched everything that isn't about a dash cam even though i don't remember your channel... I hope when you have more non dashcam content that you consider splitting channels off for that ither stuff, because I'd subscribe to, say, videos like these, but not for dashcam stuff

  24. Kuala Lumpur also have one of these, the SMART Tunnel which is usually an underground road that closes whenever heavy rain happens. I believe they got a tour of the tunnel that university students usually go for.

  40. I like your new concept, just subscribed because of that. It feels like a mix of the channel "Technology Connections" (mundane things explained to hell yet interesting), "Practical Engineering" (Interesting, but focused on public infrastructure) and "Wendover Productions" (High Quality Documentations on Economic Topics and there's always planes involved somehow). I dig this. You might have a thing for "Why is this mundane thing like this?" type of content. Go for it! Also please don't crash into "cheap-views-grabber"-valley. I hate it when that happens. The most interesting and often biggest Youtube Channels I know are those run by people genuinely interested in what they're doing and NOT going primarily for the cash.

  41.  @Lam  is DEFINITELY a brand worth building. That is exactly how I prefer reviews to be!!! None of that extra content that allllllllll the other channels tend to do, or hyped up "what's up guys" approach. I have to mention again, it was shot extremely well. I adore how well it was done. You and your team do GREAT SHOTS. It might not be easy, but it's creatively worth it.

  46. The problem is that Samsung defines MLC differently from others. Many of their storage product such as the 860 evo or 970 evo, they tend to use the term 3-bit MLC (which is just TLC NAND). The article from Samsung Newroom can actaully be "3-bit" MLC NAND

  49.  @Lam  Your guess is right, I live in Thailand, building code here only mandate having smoke detectors in commercial buildings, most houses here doesn't have one unless you buy one for yourself. I live in a 2 storey semi-detached house and feel that it would be good to have some smoke detectors in case fire broke out while I'm asleep or something. I learnt that most of cheap detectors being sold are outdated models from oversea, so I looked into what most commercial buildings are using, and it seems that Panasonic is very popular choice. The model is SH28455911, I love how it has voice notifications for everything, "low battery" "fire" "fire test" etcs., no need to set up apps or looking up manual of what the beeps meant. I think it was specially made for Asean market, humidity is main issues with poorly calibrated detector, too many false alarms and it became useless as people took it down.

  50.  @Lam  Yes, most of commercial smoke alarm here are Panasonic, I worked as contractor before, had nothing to do with smoke alarm system, but I noticed that it's everywhere, so I just feel that it must be reliable that most sites choose it. And it's true. Never had false alarm with steam and it sounded when I test it with actual paper smoke.
