The night I met my wife and took her and her girlfriend in my old 50 Ford for a drive, was the night I missed my meet with my buddies, that night they decided to relieve the country club of a case of Scotch. I met them after their 'jo' and they gave us a bottle to enjoy. That night, they got caught, all got a juvenile record, one who was 18 was arrested and given the choice, army or jail, he joined the navy for 4 years. I always said, if not for the love of a good woman I too would never have been able to do a career as a police officer and retire as the Chief of Police. Funny how life works. I sure do miss my lovely wife of 51 years and 4 days, cancer took her from me 3 years ago, not a second of a day goes by that I don't think of her love, and our wonderful life together.

  10. It amazes me how people are able to take a minor offense, or in this case not even an offence, but an eviction and turn that into a life sentence. Unless you are already on the run for murder, there is like no upside to running from or fighting the police.

As someone who works with the bereaved and also lost my 15 yr old daughter suddenly to an undiagnosed heart condition at her 15th birthday party, I can assure 911 operators, police, detectives, whoever that people respond very differently to shocking situations even the sudden lose of a loved one. I stood by my 15 yr old daughter as they did CPR, no tears, just stood there and suddenly realized everyone around me was crying but me. I stood there the whole time completely out of touch with what was happening in front of me. You cannot judge very well guilt or innocence by behavior. I’ve seen it all

  19. It's absolutely heart breaking that he would rather use his mother's death as a weapon for his nonsense arguments rather than allow her to get medical treatment. The absolute lack of awareness to realize that paramedics are not going into the middle of an active stand off. It's insane he thought that was even remotely reasonable to demand. I hope she can find peace on the other side.
