I'm 52 and English I can tell you it's never been easy for the working class the winters have always been too long and summer too short , the taxes have always been too high and I have often wondered why so many people would want to emigrate here. What has changed however for the worse is the violent crime rate that seems so common these days, and the rents and house prices have massively increased. I have started to think about one day leaving the UK but I honestly wouldn't know where to begin. I enjoyed your talk and your English is fine. God bless .

  8. There is still plenty of money in the UK but only a tiny number of people have it. If that doesn't change then the UK will complete its transformation into Brazil or Russia. My family are all here, I am 38 so probably too old to bother moving and my mortgage is much cheaper than the rent would be for the same place, so I am lucky, but the UK really was such a lovely place 20 years ago and it is shocking when you see how far it has fallen since then.

  9. As a Bulgarian who has been living here for 6 years and is now starting 7, I really almost decided that this will be my last. The quality of life does not seem to be better than in Bulgaria. All my friends who are in Bulgaria and work have gotten married, bought cars and houses and are enjoying life. Most people I know who are in good positions earn more than me. I am literally the only one who is still abroad. All the people I know have long since returned home. I have been working in a company for 5 years now full-time, I also work overtime and I am literally going broke. My electricity and water bills go up every month, my rent goes up every year, public transport goes up every year, the prices of some goods are already 3 times more expensive than in my country. Life here seems terrible, people are stressed, angry and without a smile on their faces. As you mentioned, the crime rate is extremely high - goods are being stolen from stores, people are being beaten up with knives, deaths are not at all rare. It literally looks like an action movie compared to quiet and peaceful Bulgaria. I feel pathetic and confused what the hell happened to UK. I had enough….

  10. We visited in 2017. Drove all over England and Scotland...had a blast. Saw all kinds of cool shit. Yet the people....were beat. Ruled. Subjected. Controlled. Sad. It was depressing even though we were having a great time. We want to return but it is not looking good....maybe I will just go back to Hawaii. Greetings from Northern California!

  13. Man the weather here is terrible, I hate it here, I was born here and i find it utterly depressing. I am also a father and I feel worried about my children here. But after talking with my partner we both have no idea where to run.

  14. Absolutely 100% agree with everything you say. 20 years ago the UK was an affordable place to live and have a good life... Even the weather seemed much better back then! I'm 40 and have lived here all my life but I see very little positives for normal people living here. It's very sad because this country used to be such a great place. I plan on leaving within the next 5-10 years. Good luck to you in the future.

  16. Canada is similar. Just spent some time there. There are nice safe ares which feel better than London, but equally you wouldn't want to live in Vancouver, and cost of living is impossible. Wages are depressed, jobs are scarce, and housing is through the roof due to massive immigration since 2020 - seems like mostly from SE Asia.

  17. I’ve been here 10 year and I’m planning on moving back to Romania in a couple of years. I’m really concerned about the future of this country. Quality of life is the worst out of all the EU countries I’ve been in. Every year it’s getting worse. Like you, I have a good network and work is not a problem, but I think that’s not enough of a good reason to stay.

  18. Recently returned to the UK after several years overseas. It has gone markedly downhill in every respect. I can’t think of a single thing that has improved in 20 years.

  20. There is nothing good about the UK. Its gone, forever. As soon as my 83 year old Mum has passed, me and the wife are gone. Never coming back, and i was a patriot and served for 24 years in the Royal Marines, i'd sooner fight for the Russians now, to be honest. We had a dream life in Cyprus for nearly 9 years. Came back at the start of COVID to help look after my parents. The rate and state of decline has been staggering. Just hope we get out unscathed!

  24. I agree with everything you say , I have lived here all my life a long time ! It's heartbreaking to see the decline . I live on a very nice (was) small estate . Our homes are detached with large gardens. Now I see drug deals taking place while walking my dogs and grown men urinating against the wall outside the shops . I am ashamed of where I live now . If I think about things too much, I would stop going out.

  29.  @Sten111 yes but in the 70s you didn’t have the social disparity did you? Our major cities were still English cities. This time round, we’re under sustained cultural attack by the government combined with pressure from outside groups; namely the Muslims.

  33. We are a family from Uk and had to come back here after my husband lost his job abroad in 2020 with cvid and it’s been a huge mistake. I wish we had stayed abroad but my son has a learning disability and wants to stay in the uk for language reasons. I am so worried for his future here, the cities are dying, the dirtiness, litter, and the decay is everywhere. There are nice little parts to live in the UK away from the crime and the ugly cities but too expensive now if you didn’t buy a house there a long time ago, rents are too high, it’s impossible to move there now unless you are very wealthy. I felt a sense of hopelessness in the uk when we came back. I wish we could move again, somewhere cheaper to enjoy life again, not just get by every month. Somewhere with blue skies in spring and summer. Your video was so true. I wish you and your family all the best.

Im 28 and I’ve been working for 10 years now, There is no incentive to grow and create wealth for one’s self. 40% tax on anything over 50k income is a joke, should increase to 25% up to 70k and 45% over 200k. My car tax is £720 a year. I’m selling a property I bought to rent out because of the tax on revenue not profit and the double council tax you will have to pay… that’s before we get to the new tenant rights. You can’t own nice things because it puts a target on ur back. Im so fed up

  43. Prices keep rising by large amounts, yet we are told we can't have a pay rise because companies cannot afford it. So where is all the money from all the increased prices going? Somebody must be trousering it?

British people are at the back of the queue for illegal migration which costs the tax payers 12 million a day. If I had the opportunity to leave then we would because I worry so much about the future of our children. You are a good man who speaks the truth unlike most.

  50. Thank you for the video. I really enjoyed listening to it. My wife is Polish and we drive to Poland twice a year as it's much cheaper than flying. I agree, the UK is a total mess. One of my Polish friends came back over to the UK after returning to Poland for 3 years and tried to start again. He lasted 2 months and went straight back. He said life is much better and prosperous back home. I wish you all the best.
