  4. I was in the unfantry and we had to clear wire and mind obstacles. Rule number one ...if you encounter any obstacle, it IS OBSERVED by the enemy. They are used to slow you down, deny your access to an objective or to force you to go a certain direction or funnel you into an ambush open area where they can use indirect fires on you. That's why we breech and reduce them whenever time permits.

  6. Is the 20k he rounds all that Germany have left, or is it only what they've got left to donate to Ukraine before thier own defense capability is compromised. Pretty sure I read in the press that NATO/Europe doesn't have the production capabilities to replace the rounds at the rate they are getting expended in the Ukraine conflict

  9. Chernobyl isn't really that dangerous except for a few hotspots. The radiation even a few hundred feet from the reactor is not harmful for a good while.

I have dental problems and eyesight issues but those are alot more fixable you know? It's the organ damage and nerve damage and joint and tissue damage that concerns me...

  12.  @TSPLY  I agree. It's hard to explain a simple concept the military uses to people who have a limited view of this world. Often times it takes hours of classes that we received to understand. For an example. Our intell community looks at size, strengths, weaknesses, COG, EMPCOA... and various other things, but try talking to a civilian about what we see the current troop situation at Russia/ Ukraine border, they more often than not, think or come to the conclusion of you being a fan of Russia.

  33. In 2017 I was medically separated after recovering from cancer. I passed a PT test, shot PERFECT at the range. Got promoted. I was 100% willing to continue. They chopped me and I got 20% VA rated. They kinda did this to themselves.

  38. What I think: 1 History and narrative belongs to the winner. However with social media, the world can see the truth, which bring to number 2 2 Social media/ the main stream media ruins the truth more often than not. Look how the summer of 2020 riots were covered by both the media/ social media. 3 No country or people on earth can say they are righteous. Everyone’s ancestors committed some sort of evil act, like slavery or being oppressive. Again, social media created the standard where people alive today are judged by their ancestor’s actions. 4 in order for the Geneva convention or any other “rules of war” (signed documents by the country, not what people on social media say) to work, both sides of the conflict need to sign said documents and follow them. 5 The defense will get desperate at some point of time, and use methods that would make them look ugly. This one is where like you mentioned, Ukraine must be careful. 6 As we have seen before, the losing side gets a say in the matter of who wins. Like I’ve said, my opinion and my view points from 20 years being in the Marine Corps and now a college student. I hope Ukraine can pull thorough and repel the Russian invasion in a matter that no one can condemn the Ukrainian people.
