  7. As infantry who was attached to a combat engineer unit combat engineers are still pogs cause grunt is associated with 11b. I have seen combat engineers get the same luxury that other pogs get.

  9. Any Chinese company has govt backdoors, from what I understand it’s legally required. And tech giants like Facebook have been brought before US congress. Govt sacrifices efficiency for scale, so a preventative measure to ban a foreign app is likely far easier than trying to manage American companies who have rights you have to legally deal with.

  15. I watch Eye In The Sky in a college class and it led to this conversation. The professor was saying they should’ve sent US/allied troops in on the ground, into a heavily occupied area, to take out some insurgent leaders and suicide bombers. I mentioned that way more people would’ve been injured/killed if they did that than the one non-combatants that was killed.

I was stationed there in 2019 , basically the locals hate the French , don't want to co-operate with U.S it is strictly forbidden in the Koran to betray another Muslim ,and the local militant groups avoided us , when tonga tonga happened in 2016 they found out that if you kill Americans we will airstrike the daylights out of you . There were a few ( probing attacks) using fire team size elements , a few incidents of indirect fire , and a pressure plate ied used ( we don't think the ied was meant for us ) we were pushing them into mali in 2019 and the French were killing them , was wondering what was going on . I was there when Ilhan Omar visited.President Trump sent an advisor who reported directly to him the jist of that meeting was hurry up and finish the job or come back home . The us never had substantial forces in the western side of Africa untill Boko Haram kidnapped that school full of girls and said he was gonna sell them for the price of a chicken , The Obama administration is what started the U.S. in western Africa remember #get our girls back ? U.S. operations stepped up trying to recover the girls , that's what started this whole thing.

  28. As a native Texan I think it's just a show of force to the cartels and part of beefing up our security. Have safe ways to move the guard around. They've been down there a while. What a lot of people don't know/realize is that in places all along the southern border of the US.. not just TX.. the cartels have taken over. Texas declared and "Invasion and Mexican Cartels as terrorist organizations".

  34. Here's the deal with the o-course, im 6'6 and certain obstacles were extremely easy for me because of my height and very difficult because of my height. Obviously the confidence climb and low belly over were easy. The swing stop and jump and weaver were a bitch because of my height. The sweet spot of 5'10 to 6'0". The good thing is none are impossible, just takes practice to refine your technique.

  40. They need to make robot limbs with the same/better strength and mobility for soldiers and combat personnel so they can go back into the fight. Ukrainian soldiers with missing limbs that have prosthetic limbs and are still fighting russians, but robotic limbs would be infinitely better
