  3. I really think work culture has changed and the army is just behind. Kids/teenagers want to be youtubers, twitch streams, coders, and work in cyber security. Things like CS and cyber security pay very well out of College and give you a lot of freedom, like the ability to work from home. There's also so much information about what actually happens in the military now compared to even 10 years ago.

I think the majority of people will have seen the ICC thing as purely ceremonial and the Russian "NO U" as the same thing Russia does and has been doing for however-long.   8. It was 20 years too long and we wasted resources on people who didn’t want to be saved. (Besides thoughts interpreters who were promised citizenship) I’m glad we left. Could it have been done better? Obviously. It’s sad that another 10 military personnel had to die but we have no business trying to prop up governments. The whole thing was a facade, the ANA folded immediately. I blame them.

  10. It's a shame to see stuff like this, when I got sent to DC I worked with airforce guys alot and we got along fine, we actually had more problems with other army units, air force was always on time, they gave us tips and maps of our sectors, shit was swell

  15. The cartel doesn’t want this designation because the land of the free is their biggest customer and supplier of weapons. Also the US has a history of misleading about true intentions. I can see why we aren't being welcomed as a potential savior. Keep in mind this may make the immigrant crisis even worse if skirmishes pop up all over Mexico and people choose to flee the violence.   21. Surprising to hear my Navy did something right lol. But seriously, I was an FMF Corpsman, and I knew several females who could easily outdo me in a normal PFA. But FMF billets are still male dominated, and all the women who put in packets have to go above and beyond not just their own gender, but average male's as well. One HM had tried 4 times to get an FMF billet, and she had just re-uped her enlistment to finally get one. When she found out I got literally handed one due to a shortage of HM's, she got super salty. I really wonder what the problem is, because several of my Devil Dogs were treated by female Docs, and when a fire fight broke out, there was no doubt she was going to be right there ready to return fire or patch them up.

  24. I had a overly gung-ho, toxic, Tech Sgt in the USAF, Security Police that thought he was Rambo. He carried a ruck sack where ever he went. He was dress-right-dress and squared away but in a very toxic manner and he loved to write up the lower ranks for any infringement. Nobody had respect for this guy. So don't be that guy!

I understand US Citizens use Imperial System for their daily lives, whilst the rest of the world use Metric, but in the US Armed Forces...? Things can get interesting if US Soldiers were deployed abroad, many questions: - Do soldiers taught Metric system (especially Engineers)? - What if for some reason US need to colaborate with Armed Forces that uses Metric (let's just say NATO members)? -And so on... And no, please don't start Imperial vs Metric war on the comments, this is purely educational.

  49. My uncle fought in Vietnam. Did 18 months as a door gunner. He was exposed to agent orange and developed diabetes and passed away very young due do it. I was in middle school when he passed all of a sudden. It’s so unfortunate because I often think of the life him and I never got to share together. My aunt is convinced it was from the exposure and she gets a monthly check. But money or no money, you never get back your loved one
