  9. Better than doing what his Sgt. told him to. Dropping or throwing it could have set it off. Imagine doing that in Iraq or Afghanistan !!! We had plenty of ANA & ISAF locals picking up UXOs all over the place. Some even loaded up their trucks with it, without us knowing....because we were more concerned with the turds taking shots at us.... I guess they wanted the rewards for those. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

  12. I think that the vets shouldn’t be allowed to get involved until middle and/or high school. Service members teaching kids that don’t yet have a concept of right and wrong will probably activate their PTSD and remind them of the time a private did something dumb and almost got them all killed. However, if the vets are just serving as a teachers aid (which is what it sounds like since they apparently have someone supervising them) then I’m all for it.

  14. Been watching a ton of video from UA soldiers, particularly drone operators. Watching the sheer number of Russian vehicles and infantry killed either by drone's dropping mortars, or sending back clear visuals on Russian positions followed by artillery strikes, had me definitely thinking "This is how all future wars are going to work" - especially for a the side that is badly outnumbered (i.e. the Ukrainians).

  20. T-SPLY, one thing you forgot with those man made islands is everytime they make one they extend their territory in the ocean I can't remember how many miles but it keeps extending all the resources they can harvest from those areas.

  27. like your thoughts. US uses other nations to help develop and improve many systems. Israel's F35 are some of the few that are "unlocked" and can be quickly changed to adapt or made mission specific. Ukraine has shown time and time again how resourceful they are with every single item we give them. few outside the oval know all the assets we have down range to assist Ukraine.

I m not sure about the word deported , thousands of ukranian russian speakers from the Donbas were evacuated voluntarily from the war zone to safer places in Russia even before the war started and thousands more during the war , most of the cities in the conflict area are almost empty , is more or less the evacuation of british children during WW2 when they were moved to the north of England and Scotland.

  38. Grandfather was in the 29th infantry 121st engineers B company. I believe they were paired with the 116th. I was told that their job on D Day was to open D1 exit on Normandy. Thank you for this video and all of your videos. It helps me understand slightly more about him and what he did during WWII.

  48. I have no military training or live war experience. I say that because, as a keyboard jockey, I really don't know which of these anti-tank systems are the most effective. I would imagine, though, after all the Ukraine vs. Russia fighting is over that there will be tons of after action reports painting a picture as to the best system iRL combat and whether the NLAW or Javelin is really worth the extra money when the SHTF. If they are, then give our boys the gold plated missiles. If not, maybe the AT-4 or NLAW approach is the more effective/less costly approach. I am all for giving our guys the best hammers to bang as many nails as possible, but I am no fan of gold plated hammers when less costly iron hammers work just as well.
