What struck me most was the nice newer cars. Hell, I work full-time and couldn't afford a car like those....

๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ปI just have to add, watching your video was like walking to and from school every day. The sidewalks, the ditches, how the street comes right up to the grass. Deja vu big time. Thanks. The past couples of weeks has been hard on my health. Thanks for reminding me of a time when I was young and strong.๐โโ๏ธ

Thanks for sharing.
14
have you ever noticed how late model cars / trucks line the streets ? Funny, I don't see ONE 1975 Monte Carlo or ONE 2001 F250 crew cab long bed.......huh
14
Some gorgeous architecture
14
This is so cool, thanks for this video!
14
The roads kinda remind me of leaving Texas going into Louisiana.โ
14
When you said that someone came out to say hello, it made me wonder if you ever think trouble is about to happen, cause you never really know. Love your videos from Long Island
14
I love riding along with you. Quiet beauty where I get lost in my own thoughts. Thank you!โค
14
Thankyou for all your hard work bringing this to us. Iโve always dreamed of doing a backwoods tour of America, but donโt know if Iโll ever get to do it. Happy trails from Australia๐ฆ๐บ

I watched this whole thing, and knowing even worse parts of Mckeesport that you missed in your video, (I live in Mckeesport, you actually drove past my house), I still think we have the worst town in America.
14
East Cleveland definitely needs a major demo job, maybe the bricks and other scraps can be recycled.
14
I wonder who owns all those abandoned properties?
14
What on Earth was all that pink stuff, and the lot of signs right next to it? The only signs I could read were, โI keep smiling,โ and โI am afraid of people.โ ๐ฎ๐ณ I read a story about a pink house in Wellsville, NY, but not Wellsville, OH. Iโm so curious!! ๐

I grew up on the east side of Youngstown and the city is in bad shape they did this on purpose I remember idora park coming up I still consider this home alot of memories
14
Those houses are big. I bet that was a wealthy area when those houses were built. I would love to see video of this neighborhood when these houses were first built.
14
Nigra Falls, which is 20 min from Buffalo, looks exactly like that .
14
Just by looking at that road, you can sense something is not right
14
The Walking Dead. Such complicated issues and solutions in todayโs world. Itโs heartbreaking, and needs to be seen. ๐ Thank you for doing what you do.
14
when even detroit has more future, this breaks your heart houses in detroit of all places are being renovated while this... is dying-
14
That's very respectful that you cover the people face when you pass by
14
I know this is not exactly Pittsburgh, but I love the whole Pittsburgh area. This is beautiful in a decaying type of way.
14
Iโd rather live here than Gary Ind
14
That is high end ghetto compared to many of your previous videos.
14
Looks a lot like back home, Gary Indiana! I hear there trying to fix it up now
14
I feel like I'm in the front seat with you looking at this.
14

I can just imagine them in their glory.....The pround Elders that built these for their families

My father, brothers, sister, and I grew up in Hendrysburg. We all went to school here as did my father. He operated a filling station and an automobile repair shop and body shop here. Some people think the closing of the coal mines doomed the town but thatโs incorrect. The town had been here and very prosperous for nearly 200 years which was nearly 120 years prior to the coal industry boom. The single greatest destroyer of the economy was the interstate coming through. Once that happened, malls began popping up within easy driving distance, local grocery stores were no longer needed. The school closed as did the post office. Everything slowly began becoming consolidated elsewhere. Then, we moved away after graduating school. Itโs terribly sad to see this. My sister still lives here as does one of my nephews. Itโs just heartbreaking to watch it go to ruin. I have a very detailed video from nearly 40 years prior to this one. I may try putting it onto this platform one day. Thanks for your video.

Well, the sunset was pretty...good video, hope you're staying safe โค๏ธ
14
Wow...๐ข

I could imagine Aliquippa to have been a popular place to live from the 1940s - 1970s. Parts of it are quite nice and some great houses, some of them now decaying. ๐ข
14
Your car speed was just perfect for a vid like this. You made it more meaningful. Every time we ask 'What Happened?' we gain more understanding.
14
Great video. The Northside of Montgomery!!! Im still in Montgomery Alabama. Moved from that side of town to the Eastside.๐๐๐
14

14
Dying town......
14
Looks great! I'm moving in.
14
Frank interview a with people who left in the 60s and 70s would be interesting.
14
This town sure didnโt benefit from global economy
14
I get sketched out just watching your content, but the guy in the tree at 4:30 (I didn't notice at first, thanks for pointing him out!) made me both laugh and feel despair at the situation there.

I grew up in a different part of the world knowing that everything is beautiful in America, everybody has plenty. The image that this country protects to the world is , the US , is the greatest, the best in the world! I hope you can understand my English, but know that I have seen places like this one , I see how wrong I was . I feel sad to know places like this exist in the USA. Again I ask , how come no one does anything ? ๐ณ๐ Thank you for sharing this video with us .๐๐ My blessings to all of you , from Washington. Good day everyone.๐ธ๐ธ

The overcast sky really added to the mood of this. You got my old hood there it was rough back in the day aint no better now probably. Sweet camera work bro I feel like im riding a carpet down those roads so smooth
13
It's not so much the endless boarded up houses, it's the ones that are still occupied where you can see them still trying...That rain-soaked teddy bear on that porch just tears ๐ข me up..
13
I would love to explore the inside of those houses, they have so much history to tell
13
The greenness of the vegetation in the low Skies remind me of home. Thank you.
13
Historical record right there. โค

Hello..Small towns are over looked sadly... Shawnee Ohio could have its possibilities in 2024 ... Thank you again stay safe in your travels ๐๐ฝ
13
My dad grew up here. My grandma used to work at JC Murphy's, this is heartbreaking. ,
13
I'm about 20 or 30 minutes from East Cleveland/Cleveland. My family and I don't bother traveling through there anymore. Used to be pretty awesome seeing all the Christmas lights up in the winter when I was a kid. Clevelanders always had so much pride.
