Wow that's a lot of poverty I feel so bad for those people.
48
DAMN! This is as bad- if not WORSE- than a lot of the Detroit neighborhoods you've given us a tour thru...
47
Still not as bad as Philly 😢
47
Great opening shot: “Fun In The Sun Pools.“ Trying to imagine it in its heyday. 🙁
47
A lot of great athletes came from that little mill town: Pistol Pete Maravich Mike Ditka Ty Law Darrelle Revis Sean Gilbert and many more...
47
I'd like to visit these places and get this eerie feeling in person
47
Great video and new sub for sure. Cincinnati obviously has some hard spots just like any larger city. In general though I've seen major improvements over the years. Thanks for sharing 👍
46
I have family in Virginia & West Virginia. They are the friendliest people you'll ever meet.
46
Your videos are far more educational than public school classes. Thank you.
46
It's great that you filmed this in the winter time! It adds to the depressing image of the town!
46
Your Philadelphia video makes this one look like a pleasant neighborhood.
46
What's great about this video is the silence. No commentary; no music; just the occasional sound of nature.
46
Спасибо вам за видео. Безумно нравятся старые шахтёрские города в Западной Вирджинии.
45
I really like your format. No ads or fill in junk, no music, no voices. Just the music of mother nature. It is a pleasure to watch your videos.
45
Love watching these late at night with my nighttime beer.
45
This is like heaven compared to some of your videos from Ohio and Phili.
45
Imagine trying to run a shop in this place how do they keep going?
45
I grew up in Warren, just north of Youngstown. My grandfathers worked in the mills - Van Huffel and Republic Steel, and my dad was at GM. Both my kids were born in Ytown. I stayed until my 30s, but there was nowhere left to work. Moved to SC, then FL. Warren looks almost as bad as Youngstown. Sad how far the area has fallen. Lot of good hard working people there. And some great pizza!
45
There's more roosters out and about than people!😂😂🤣🤣👍👍

I still can't understand why a country as wealthy as America, would rather these houses go to ruine than let a homeless family make one home.
44
Great video! Tragic the way the city became so decrepit and derelict. Heartbreaking that anyone has to live on the streets.
44
It's been about six years since I've been to Buffalo since moving further away. I've always liked visiting and it's hard to see it go down further but I appreciate your videos because they show reality. Thanks for this!

I remember McKeesport was the place to go in the 70s, it was a nice town. I was even born @ McKeesport hospital and delivered the “Daily News” as a boy. Used to be able to ride the train to downtown Pittsburgh. We moved to a farm in WV about 25 years ago but was there a cpl months ago for my father in laws passing. Man things have really changed☹️ They are still working on that hospital parking garage though lol🤷♂️

Let the homeless live in the old boarded up homes or is LAW more important, this is one of the reasons for homelessness in the first place.
43
This... This is why I worry when my 48-year old son goes to concerts in or near Detroit. Yes, mom's still worry no matter how old our kids are! 😰
43
Hi from france. I think Ohio is a beautiful state where people have suffered a lot. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤
43
What’s up, my man! I remember when you had under 100 subscribers! I’m really proud of you! You put in the work, and got an amazing number of subscribers, congratulations! Keep going!! Greetings from Arizona! Steve.
43
I don't know why this place reminds me of the movie Stand by Me from 1986. Greetings from Uruguay
42
The apocalyptical landscape is unreal.😢
42
I'm from macon and it's a very sad area. Most of the city looks like the apocalypse happened 12 years ago.
42
Also a Charleston resident here, 100% accurate view of the worst parts of the city. This video only shows about 20% of the whole, though. The rest of Charleston is rather nice. The east end of town near the capital building is beautiful. Downtown around the mall and the civic center is beautiful. That being said, it's painfully obvious that the officials here are blind to the worst, "rose colored glasses" and what-not. You are also 100% correct about the people here. Most of us would give you the literal shirt off our back if it would help you. It used to be a great city. now it just needs new management, so to speak.
42
If someone described this to you, you’d think they were exaggerating. Then you see it with your own eyes.
42
It’s so vibrantly green and beautiful. The natural landscape truly makes up for all the abandoned homes. I even saw unmaintained pink wild flowers growing near one of the abandoned houses. Say what you want but the landscape is truly stunning.
42
So many beautiful homes and apartment buildings just deteriorating. It's really sad. It's also amazing to see how the cities in this country are just duplicates of one another! Very interesting videos, I'm glad I came across your channel, definitely subscribing!
41
This town is surrounded with such gorgeous scenery.. the forests are so thick and green, a river or lake in the distance, and those churches are incredible. It's still a pretty town, flowers planted, streets clean enough.. You can tell they have pride in their little city.. I would love to visit this place.
41
It was once a coal mining town. That’s what happened.
41
Great video. Some of the roads are so narrow they look like a walking path. So many of these little forgotten towns in the mountains 😢😢
41
A little creepy to not see a person anywhere.😊
41
Wow. What a tragic loss of such beautiful architecture in places. That building at 08:12 must've been spectacular in its heyday. This one had so many great still shot pics throughout. The teddy bear slumped on the porch, next to the "I miss my dog" graffiti was so sad.
41
That could be such an awesome place, if people would restore the homes and buildings. The landscape is absolutely gorgeous! ❤️

Beautiful countryside. Sweet nature.

This is New Castle Pa. I was born and raised here and still live here. I graduated from New Castle High School and now I work there. Just like any town you have your good and bad. When tragedy hits this town pulls together like no other. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.
40
Thank you for bringing these places to life and helping everyone watching to an understand of what is going on with our nation
40
I’m addicted to this guy’s videos. No music. No talking. Just visuals and the sound of the vehicle moving.
40
Kudos to you for having the courage to drive into that area, thanks for sharing this video.

I lived in McDowell County, Iaeger, gilbert creek WV, as a child in the 70s, coal trains used to run 24 hrs a day.
39
I could see the problem within the first 20 seconds of this. Some people move out, and other's move in. When the factories leave so does the money. People that can follow the money do, those that can't it seems their just stuck.
39
Broken dreams is right. How sad. Some of those buildings must have beautiful in the day. Love your channel, great footage!!!👍
39
What happened? The steel mills and other manufacturing jobs left and were not replaced by anything else. Those who could afford to leave left, leaving mostly the poor. This is part of what happened.
39
I guess we know where Waldo is now
