Great video! Really interesting to actually see a thing I've been thinking about for years be tested and proven like this

I have been subscribed to dozens of channels; car channels, prank channels, religious channels. Your the only channel I have ever been signed up for notifications.

Here’s the take away: If you want good rooster tails it’s best to have it in “Deep Snow/Mud” setting.(-:

At first I thought they got to you, I was almost ready to unsubscribe... But then I remembered, its April fools... Thank you for not being a flat earther! Lol

Awesome video. I guess Toyota is addressing the DI carbon build up problem with this new technology as well as improved efficiency. If I am understanding the video, fuel is being sprayed on the back side of the intake valves via the unique placement of the direct injectors and also from the port injectors when under low load. How cool is that!

matthew fyfe by the looks of it you are not a car guy then 😊 and also it also affects the braking distance and grip so it's also a safety issue

@EngineeringExplained Where's MY CUT?!
31
Ok, Jason, let's be real. How much are OEMs paying you to dissect and explain competitor technology??? 😂
31
Congratulations 🎉

whoa Jason got sparkles in his eyes...When driving his Miata

Rally inspired isn't the same as a Rally car. Still loved my 2017 stage 2+ STi when I had it!

Season 9 Of House M.D. Looking good.
31
Excellent job. That cowboy accent was really good.

Came for the math, wasn't disappointed.

I personally don’t dislike CVTs. Sure they’re not as engaging as a manual or even a regular automatic transmission, but they’re generally a lot more efficient.

Well, the 86 is a blast to drive; it offers nothing more than pure fun to the driver. It's under-powered yeah but a blast nonetheless. Both cars are needed and I'm glad that Toyota have such nice cars in their lineup. Let's just hope that they don't kill any of them in a couple of years... or that they don't change the 86 to a crossover POS with the 86 badge on it.
31
He sold his good chair and rented out his house to pay for the repair.
31
I'd buy pizza from jordan frisbee's restaurant

Chin blanket > turbo blanket.👍😆 Great video, Jason! It's always very entertaining when you and Charles are in the same room. After seeing you two on your Instagram clip yesterday, I hope you decide to post a blooper reel.😂 Have a great day.

I desperately want an electric minivan in the United states, and this thing just doesn't cut it. We ended up buying a honda odyssey earlier this year for our growing family because there just are not any options for an electric minivan here. I wanted this to be the answer, but it isn't. $60k+ for a vehicle with around 200 miles of range is just not competitive in today's market. In addition, we should not be getting half baked software experiences when we're paying this much for a car. In day to day driving the user experience is far more important than the 0-60 time, but it seems like UX designers at automotive manufacturers are either high on paint fumes or are getting overridden by poor quality management. It's frustrating to turn a car down for software when it's relatively easy to fix compared to designing a new vehicle from the ground up.

These types of videos is the reason I subscribed to your channel. Good stuff man

Never mind the reuse, I'd love to see a Leaf (or other electric car) that can be plugged into a home to power it when possible. I'm not quite in the way of Flo, but still expect more water than we could possibly need. I'm sure plenty of Leaf owners will want to run their charger in reverse pretty soon.
30
A comparison I never thought about but loved every second of it.

Hi Jason. Thank you for the informative video. As a suggestion, can you include a comparison of the engines you review including specs such as: power, torque, weight, fuel consumption, efficiency and depict the info graphically. Also, it would be interesting to include EVs in your review too. Many thanks from Australia
30
The resolution on this video is so crisp. I don't know if you've always used UHD, but I definitely appreciate getting use out of my monitor.
30
Great video and technical details, thanks! So since oil temp is about the same, any negative effects on turbo reliability / longevity?
30
hope you don't sell your Honda...gotta still be a petrolhead 🤘😎
30
Another well thought out video mate. Much love from Australia.
30
I achieved my goal of learning something new today. Back to bed for me.
