  4. 대한제강 녹산 공장이군요. 철근/빔은 물성만 맞추면 되기때문에 고로말고 전기로로 생산합니다. 스크랩을 모아서 전기로로 쇳물만들어서 반제품 빌렛을 만들어서 재가열로를 거친뒤 압연을 통해 철근을 생산합니다. 건물에 들어가는 자재이기 때문에 일반 소비재 제품은 절대 아닙니다. 대략 철근 한번들당 1톤 정도 나온다고 보시면 됩니다.

  32. My husband works in a steel mill. This place is so clean comparatively speaking. I've never seen an arc furnace before so this was so cool to see.

Air tools especially when they are used a lot get really cold and you have to wear gloves, as they can actually freeze up, they work exactly like the freezer in your refrigerator.

  43. That human dressed in grey overalls really blends into his surroundings, good job he has a yellow hard hat to see him. I used to load trucks with scrap metal using magnets and grapple on various cranes. I’ve worked in a steel works once and the speed some of the white hot metal flying around while someone guides it is scary stuff.
