This is the best video I've seen this year and I've watched thousands. What a great introduction to your channel this was for me. I can't wait to watch more of your vlogs. If this is any indication as to what I'll find then it should move you right to the top of my favorite content providers. I'll be looking for a way to donate cash to your future adventures. Props to Mr. Chen!

Thank you for shedding light on the underbelly of Hong Kong. They are currently trying to introduce a bill to increase the minimum required living space and crack down on subdivided flats. With that being said there’s actually so much more of Hong Kong to see. As an indigenous villager in Hong Kong, I'd actually like to invite you to visit the New Territories to explore some of our villages and traditional customs and festivals! Notes: A big issue with reform here is that the government makes most of its revenue in land sales and land tax. Therefore, the government has a vested interest in keeping the supply of land and housing limited to inflate the cost of land. Roughly 70% of Hong Kong's land is undeveloped or protected or classified under different usage zones Take it however you want but there have been several indicators from the Mainland that there is no real intention to alter the one country two system model after 2047 as it actually benefits both the mainland and Hong Kong to keep a level of distinction between the jurisdictions. Every city changes but as long as the heart is the same that’s all that matters. Just my two cents from living and growing up here in HK Final note: Been following your channel for a few months now especially for the China series and I got to say it’s some of the best China coverage I’ve seen. It’s honestly such a refreshing take. Keep it up and keep it real!

Come back to Nagaland MHAO..

This is quite touching actually to see you a lone western hitchhiker maybe testing free travel vibes in China let alone Xinjiang! Well, i am glad to see you met with such hospitality! Good to pick up more Chinese phrases. I see that comments are all positive in explaining police checking up on you. Given such hostile western attitudes towards China, good to be on the clear with the authority! Happy trails…will follow you! 👍😮

Thanks Mike for great content! Hats off to you from HK.

Why don't u visit the first green village in Asia located under Kohima district called khonoma

And as you mentioned, it does help that you are an Englishman, who can be put on a pedestal, especially in these more remote parts of China where people do not see many foreigners. But I'd also like to think that everyone in the video is trying to paint a good image of China and you've done them justice with your portrayal.
29
Mike, thanks. Your videos are the best

I've lived in India for five years and to me it's soooooo crazy for all these videographers to keep eating any food from the streets which will give you not only diarrhea but maybe hepatitis 😢😢😢😢
29
Yaaaa✊✊✊ finally Mike is coming back with Hornbill festival video ❤😊

Mike, you’re an incredible human being. The way you highlight people’s lives and struggles is truly eye-opening. It's easy to believe the misinformation about these parts of the world, but having someone like you showcase these places and the people there, honestly and firsthand, is invaluable. Your content is a powerful reminder that people aren’t defined by the politics of where they live—everyone is human and deserves respect. Thank you for sharing these stories, and best of luck in your travels. Keep posting; this channel is amazing!

pretty wrong, there were no mongols thousands years ago, 2000 years ago, xinjiang was part of chinese han dynasty, mongol empire only exist 800 years ago, the mongol only expand to xinjiang around that time, the han chinese are one of natives in xinjiang, study more before you make assumptions

The slogans "Long live the People's Republic of China" and "Long live the unity of the people of the world" in Tiananmen Square, represents our common wish.❤

Brudddddahhh, it's Tonks, saw you pop up in my suggested! for dirt roads, and especially bouncy, use more back break than front break (front wheel will lock up very easily on dirt roads when breaking) to slow down, also use less throttle as the engine will do some breaking for you. Good to see you randomly pop up on here haha! take care, and all the best

Mike, in fact, the Road Traffic Safety Law states that entering a motorway is prohibited unless the speed is higher than 70km/h. Violation of the rules will be punished with a warning or a fine, which can range from five to fifty yuan. In China there are often pedestrians who don't know the rules or enter the motorway under compelling circumstances, most won't be fined but will be warned as it's too dangerous, don't do it, love you and wish you all the best.
27

Bro! Why no more videos???? Anxiously waiting here... From NAGALAND!😀💪💪💪
26
Exactly. At first I didn't understand why he insisted on hitchhiking and camping when he could actually travel in a more comfortable way. After watching this video, I finally understood it. He was testing the limits of a so-called "draconian" society with his personal experience, and it turned out that all the rumours were debunked.
