I love your insight. However, it is hard for people to change. Most of us are change-resistant. Even if the status-quo sucks, even if deep down inside, you know you are miserable, you are just scrambling, emotionally, to make it to the next day. But you don't change, because for most of us, change requires moving our arses and trying to figure out what went wrong, and that requires change. And boy, change is scarier than the most miserable constant in our lives. So what we do is continue to sleep-walk through our lives, lying to yourselves that one day, when we get that promotion, when the kids grow up, when we retire, then suddenly life will change by itself for the better, sweep us off our feet and carry us to a fulfilling paradise. As if life somehow owes us something. I always hear the phrase, oh, time flies so fast, this and that which happened years ago felt like it happened yesterday. Of course it did, if we were on auto-pilot all this time.
