Been watching the programs you host on Amazon Prime. You make it amazingly easy to suggest your channel to my friends who are into history! I appreciate your attention to detail!

Dear Mr. McCollum, you've become a curse to me. We've founded a modest gun collection with my father. And by the time I was feeling I'm sattisfied, you instilled a desire to get a collection of french guns into me. So, my Berthier 1892 Musketoon is on the way, I'm in the process of choosing a Gras and activelly looking for a Lebel. And it doesn't end there. God bless my wife who (mostly) silently tolerates it.

Tsingtao Ironworks probably refers to Zhang Zuolin's (Fengtian clique) Naval Tsingtao Ironworks. I spotted two "Tsingtao Ironworks" from records. I'm not 100% sure if they were referring to the same factory because the Naval Tsingtao ironworks alledgely situated on Heze 4th Road (I can't comfirm) while Tsingtao ironworks was located on Shicun Road (comfirmed). Two sites are close. Anyway, Tsingtao Ironworks on Shicun Road was founded by the government in 1926 to produce machine guns which refers to an improved Bergman SMG. It won't surprise me the factory made pistols.

For a good while I was SURE you were messing with us. Any reference to Elbonia was centered around Dilbert. Took a little bit to actually find real information on the country. Right now I'm REALLY confused, just actually read the information and It's clearly fake..I think? I honestly feel like I'm having a stroke here. I'm not an idiot, maybe being up for 46 hours has started to effect me haha EDIT: Ok It must be the sleep. I now understand the joke. I feel SUPER dumb and now kinda hate Dilbert, but maybe I'll laugh about it when I've finally slept.

There are two big problems with Rumble from the general creator perspective. 1. It is mostly associated with politics 2. They didn't actually have a moderation plan in place before the mass onboarding. Even now it's a reactionary moderation plan. Utreon has a plan for how to handle moderation as it grows, using a sort of reporting/appeal process that requires both a timestamp and the specific rule broken. Also the CEO himself has been directly responsive to the creators onboarding. As far as guns go, he's shown up personally to some events and has invited the industry to advertise on the platform.

My Penguin Brutality T-Shirt arrived an hour ago I love the design, and it's really comfortable too Looking forward to whatever you do next, and thanks for the videos Ian!
72
In the meantime I brought a copy of your dads book to read
72
ordered a pair recently, theyre a great company and have a great product
71
I'm a poor University student, but I'm very likely to get a scholarship stipend, and the first thing I'll do is buying your book. Can't wait for Max Popenker's book either!
71
Ian, I'm Canadian and my glorious leader won't allow me to have one of those because I might contribute to street crime BUT I will enter anyway and if I win I'll gift it to you. You really look like you'd like to have that rifle.😉
71
I have the solution Ian, you Carl and Brownells, sell them the WWSD 2020.
71
Thank you for this video. My dad always told me my grandfather fought the Japanese during WW2, then during the warlord era of China and into the Chinese civil war, and the Chinese type 17 was his side arm he kept with him at all times.

Ya know... I've been watching since the early days, the intro music, when it looked like things were filmed in 480p - and never really commented much. But I'm compelled to say, a funny as it sounds, that i'm real proud of what you've achieved on youtube and beyond. You were the little guy I could see parts of myself in back then and always hoped you'd do well. And now you're building a fantastic collection, authoring and publishing books, and get to own genuinely beautiful rifles like the Fix. Good on ya dude - keep on educating about and dorking out on firearms, and focussing on the factual over than the political. It's taken you far, and long may that trajectory continue. Thanks for all the interesting vids!

Definitely picking up a copy 🇭🇺

Having met Ian a few dozen times, he strikes me exactly as he is in video. So long as your expectations are reasonable, I think you will find him friendly and generous with his knowledge, time, and even gear.
69
I actually wanna buy a pair of boots from Varusteleka. With this, I think I’m gonna have to add another item in my cart. Wonderful collab!
68
I’ve known and been checking headspace on various rifle platforms for years now, that being said this was extremely informative and easy to understand for those who didn’t know or understand it.
68
As a French citizen , you should know that access to these prototypes is extremely rare (I only knew one ..). Very impressive !!! Thank you again Ian for your passionate and fascinating work . From France : bravo et merci ...

SAKO lost the RK deal due to defense cuts. Finland bought 100k AK clones from china and other 100k real AKs from DDR. They had to make SAKO profitable by cutting their portfolio. They chose primarily hunting and target shooting products. Tikka tactical series and TRGs came later. The SAKO 100 documentary explains the whole story quite well
66
Ian, if you have enough money from your Kickstarter left over once all the book expenses are accounted for, you should do French Rifle shoot with as many of the guns your books covers as is possible
66
Once payday hits, I’m going to buy this as my Christmas present to myself.
64
Amazing. I told Laszlo to contact you in Dec 2022, really happy to see this come to fruition.
64
I got my chassepot to famas book right before this started so I got something to read lol
63
Finally!! Been watching you since the machine gun intro many years ago. This museum is what ignited my interest for firearms.
63
Great stuff ,I m going to take this opportunity to say THANKS IAN. You were the conduit for me to become aware of the channel "The great war " I had seen some of their series before. A few weeks ago as the current emergency was starting to hit home. I was watching and you recommend the show. So in six days I did the whole thing. If it's ok with you I'm going to order me. A Forgotten weapons University Diploma..for a Bachelor's degree in World War 1 Arms/History
63
Over $600k raised on the Kickstarter! Incredible
62
Always great to see more exposure for historical hand weapons - thanks Ian!
62
23:08 this is why we see AK-12 without optics or any other attachments in Ukraine...
61
Ian, your description of this book was enough for me to purchase it. I'm very curious to hear an unknown fellow servicemember's views and recounts of a conflict I was involved in. I was in Helmand during my 2nd of 3 deployments to Afghanistan as an EOD tech from 2009 to 2013. Thanks for recommending it. I'm looking forward to reading it in its entirety.
61
i'm icelandic and he had me until the icelandic guy started saying he was a total idiot 😂 such good april fools day joke!
60
As an Egyptian who subscribed to the channel lately i really appreciate this video.
60
Saw Ian couple of weeks ago, or was it a week ago, thursday I think it was :D at Varusteleka. Had a beer with friends, but still didn't have balls to come and have a chat. Anyways, hope you liked it!
59
I'm binge-ing all your Hyde Carbine and M2 / M3 content. This makes me really sad that Marlin or Brownells hasn't done a run of repro M2s.
58
You love this gun so much you couldn't just have one video about it..
58
I'm already a patreon, And if I am entirely honest, I subscribed entirely out of a desire to support your content, I haven't actually signed into my patreon for at least several months, I also don't care to, While I do find the interactive part intersting finding an on topic question for the Questions and answers videos that isn't absurdly long has been challenging, I have a curiosity on the subject of electronically controlled firearms, But asking without effectively typing a patent application would be difficult.
57
Just backed the book. We’re at $714,000 and we have 28 more days to go. This is gonna be so frickin’ sweet.
57
I bought NV for matches like this. Fantastic to hear your putting this on again Ian!
57
The quality of those pictures is staggering.
56
As a machine designer this channel is like a seminar! Great stuff and thanks
56
Most people don't understand what being well known in the public is like. I've worked in a national radio network for over 35 years and truly understand how unthinking "fans" can be. Do people really think someone with a million subscribers can hold each of their hands? BTW, can't wait to get you book.
56
Awesome! I wanted a book to be able to show my support but was too poor in college when the first run ended! Glad you decided to do a second run!
55
I prefer watching this than any IPSC, chris costa, instructor zero whatever stuff.
55
That CZ shirt really sells it. Lol.
55
Just joined - Ian you're right - we all need to give ourselves more freedom. It will be good for everyone :) google/youtube has changed some time ago into a money machine for investors, and the rules are created by some populist amoeba. Take care and keep doing a great job :)
54
I decided to upgrade my order and added "Arming the Dragon" book and decided to also get my purple cover signed by gun jesus. Along with the leather book mark and patch
54
Ian: Talks about 1795 like it's ancient history. Me: (living in town founded by Vikings) Laughs in British. 😁
54
I’m from Ukraine. Want to say big thank you. Watching your channel more than 4 years, and glad that you support my country. Will be very cool if you come to visit us after war end. Best regards)
53
Time to support on patreon
53
Ian - great review! I managed to get one of the few Mandas to get into the US when Sarco brought in a small batch; although without the scope and mount, just the milled-in Picitinny rail. If you're ever in Northern Virginia, you're welcome to fire my Manda at a relatively nearby 500 yard range.
52
Can’t wait to get the book and comb through all the details, seems like a lot of time and effort went into this. Köszönöm szépen Nic és László!
