  6. Another fascinating episode thoughtfully narrated through a variety of pictures. The genius of Western democracy is that it is a covenant - like the book of Exodus and King David on which it drew. The Reformation, again with some wrong experiments, concretised these ideas firstly in the English Revolution, and then in the Glorious Revolution of 1689. Although we are trying hard to obliterate them in favour of neo-Marxism, the idea of covenant and Parliamentary democracy are still with us today!! We have to trust in God they will emerge stronger after a revival of faith.
