Well, I just want to say thanks. Your prior videos on this spurred me to look into and ultimately buy the first dishwasher anyone in my family has ever owned. With that machine, I almost always use the regular Cascade powder as well. I use the amount my machine calls for; not what is on the box. It goes in the prewash and main wash compartment. The machine virtually always works perfectly and a box of Cascade Complete lasts me like six months. It is insanely economical. I love it. LOVE it. And it's all your fault. Thank you Alec.

Thank you for being the right kind of weird.

@andykillsu it just a matter of getting used to things. I use a wok on an electric cooker every now and then and it's fine. And how many people use a wok daily? We are talking about a very small part of the population here, not worth maintaining national infrastructure and logistics for honestly. These discussions always seem devolve into arguing about little edge cases that very few people actually care about and with lots of solutions for the few that do care about it.

The cheap colorful-LED lights i have do indeed have removable plastic lenses. They're just snugly fitted into the green plastic holders. I don't have any white lights to try them on, though. But be aware, some brands of them are removable.

So if I’m understanding correctly, I have a scenario based question: Imagine a small kitchen operating with one of these. The output from the stove is enough that over the course of cooking a meal, it’s enough to raise the ambient air temperature +8 in whatever your favorite unit of temperature is. Does this mean that the duty cycle will change meaningfully over time and the stove settings would need to be changed to keep it at its desired power level?

The Boss He wasn't saying that the environment is more important than lives. Or shrugging off the accidents. He was just saying we need to add heaters that only come on when temperatures drop so that those accidents are avoided without wasting money and electricity on days when there's no snow to melt. rather than taking steps backwards from technologies we didn't quite get right, we can improve them till we do get them right.

My house is close to 80 years old, it had no insulation. I renovated when I bought it and packed the walls with new slag wool insulation and now I turn off my AC when I leave for work and when I get back it's maybe 76 if it's 100+ outside.

@TechnologyConnections We should be pushing charge at work way more than we are today because of the duck curve. We can charge ~10% more vehicles with a given amount of solar if we do it during the middle of the work day instead of when people get home.

At 6:42 the picture is not of a European type 2 connector, but a Tesla "DC type 2" supercharger connector which was used on Tesla Model S and X until they switched to CCS2. This special connector actually has a notch inside which make it impossible to fit in a type 2 socket, while the Tesla Model S can take both the official type 2 for AC and this modified type 2 for DC. The modified connector re-purposes the 4 pins of the 3P+N connection with 2 for the DC positive and 2 for the DC negative

This video will create the kind of lasting legacy in the world most people can only dream of. If we were ever in doubt about YouTube as a force for good in the world this proves otherwise. I had accepted I had a slammy fire door which whenever I forgot something hanging up just out of reach would slam shut before I could dash back and forth to grab it. No more - 5 minutes with a screwdriver and life is changed forever.
