  4. That is a great history video. And I live near the Six-Flags area. And years ago me and my wife would go downtown day or night. We have eaten and listened to bands play at the Underground. But I will say this, especially to visitors. (STAY AWAY) from the Underground Atlanta. Especially now and at night!! It's even dangerous during the day now. All of downtown Atlanta has become dangerous place, and over the last 20 years, it has turned into a den of theives and thugs! Like most large cities are. I just read an article in one of the travel magazines about 6 months ago that Atlanta, Ga, was ranked 3rd in the nation as one of the most dangerous cities to visit. Detroit and Chicago came in 1st and 2nd.I don't go downtown unless I absolutely have to. I keep my car doors locked, I watch my back as best I can, and I stay locked and loaded while I'm there! 😢😮😢

  9. Bisbee is a very unique town. I visited about three years ago and was struck by the drive in. It’s in a deep valley with only one entrance and one exit. It’s no wonder it floods consistently. The streets are narrow and parking is difficult, but there are ample bars and restaurants for those wishing to partake. The locals are not very nice, and the town is difficult to navigate, but you can feel the history all around you. I’d like to go back and spend more time there.

  15. My grandparents owned a cottage in belle River off of Lake Saint Claire. Using the tunnel to get to Canada was a treat, mostly, we used the ambassador bridge. It's sad that it is in disrepair 😢. Such memories.

  22. I am like number 100. this channel has become one of my favorites. throughout school HATE, and i mean Despised history class with a passion. With the Turn of the internet and video content, history suddenly has become interesting, and enjoyable to watch. maybe that was the problem, it was the medium in which i was taught history, now with the rise of well made AND documented videos i find it a pleasure to sit here and watch.

  32. Fun fact the PRR planted Japanese knotweed (looks like bamboo) next to all its tracks, because it was tubular and held water so the tracks wouldn’t start fires from sparks. Also the stuff is invasive as hell.

  36. I never went over the Hell Gate bridge, but I've been under it a couple of hundred times at least.   Worked on a tug in NY for 38 yrs.. When I first started, I was told to never stand out on deck going under that bridge. The kids would get up there and throw anything they could find down on the boat. That included a track spike the deckhand found out on the deck.

  47. All the comments that praise the GSP are from the shore. After you head north, past where the Parkway meets Turnpike, it's just another congested highway artery towards NYC, except worse because of the tiny lanes and tight curves. Edit: The Turnpike is "the heart of NJ". This is where the North, Central, and South Jersey division comes from.

  50. I remember this day well my teacher's husband most likely would have been on the bridge when it went down. However his boss kept him late that day. I was nervous going over older Bridges after it happened.
