  2.  @lewismcgillion8949  I understand the gain-of-function research that led to the SARS virus and subsequently, C 19 could be expedited by AI and also lead to a far more contagious virus with 80% morbidity, such as the one accidentally stumbled-upon by a virology research facility in Boston, not so long ago. Still, that's just me not understanding "basic science"

I couldn't actually define what "trans" means. In fact, some people think it's "undefinable". How can we then create legislation based on this term?

Elon Musk believes it's an imminent threat, but Prof. Brian Cox thinks the technology is nowhere near the complexity where it might become one, so who really knows? I think it could give viral researchers tools to do something they don't entirely understand. If that doesn't concern you, I admire your optimism.

  48. This is great news. Prohibition works every time. Just look at alcohol prohibition in the '30s. Of course, making drugs illegal has meant they're completely unavailable. I'm just surprised the FBI even bothered, after all, there's no demand for such substances. 🤣 (please note the laughing face, indicating humour)
