The parts going from one frame to the other, and the other ones being left behind: think of it like the transmigration of your Gram's truck. You don't actually have to believe in transmigration or anything (I don't), because it's trucks; but a bit of that, a continuity in a renewed life.

Take care of yourself in the heat. Much fluids. Ice in a bag round the neck.

I love the combination of a museum-grade conservation attitude with the desire to give the car extra beans.

@creamwobbly Also the Nissan e-power system, currently on JDM Notes, but coming soon to other vehicles, I hope.

For a dark video with intimations of mortality, that's a lot of fun. Is that the first time we have seen Squid? Starting on a career of keeping the humans alert with digestive episodes. Also, development in comic technique. There's some high-grade mugging in this video, facial expressions worthy of the great performers of the silent era. Strong, but not overdone.

Really, everybody is just going to have to get used to CVT; if you're going to have an automatic, it makes a lot of sense, and presumably they'll improve the durability.

Epic struggle against a swarm of zombie worms.

"Can you imagine what it would be like if you didn't clean under your bed and couches for, like, four years?" "Ma'am, some of us don't have to imagine."

Almost, but not quite, the right fitting. Scream.

I've never heard "passion" and "Volvo" in the same sentence before. Evidently a car where you need to RTFM, so I hope the manual is indeed friendly. Volvo evidently still expects its customers to be the sort of people who would take things seriously.

I really dislike Beetles, but on those tires it looks like a bold and perky little Bug, off to have some Adventures. Also, Angel looks like he's just discovered his crazy aunt, and is enjoying being part of her plans.

The only problem I see with the barndominium is that, like with the medieval peasant cottage with space for humans and livestock, the cars might start coming into your living quarters. I enjoyed that video--it was very much like hanging out with a friend and chatting while they did work.

We had to have our cat euthanised during the pandemic, which made it worse. I howled for a week. Now we have a strange cat, who came from the shelter classified as a TIMID, and she's starting to get used to us. What it means is that no cat is a replacement for the lost cat, but after a while, the answer is another cat.

Bits and pieces episode is just fine. Keeps us in touch with all your various projects, and a nice change of pace from the intensely focused episodes. I like the workshop parts most, partly because a lot of the cars you review are not in my world, and would actually be grotesquely inappropriate for the city where I live. But I enjoy the reviews, and the drama of whether or not this vehicle will get to the top of the hill, and they might be content that's easier on the body. You do a lot of heavy lifting in the workshop. I appreciate the demands of the medium, but there are times when I feel how tired and driven you're getting, You really should find a way to take off one day a week to spend more time with the penguins.

Your time in Germany comes back every time you say "sport exhaust."

Nice to see electric cars are fun in the country. In the city, one pedal driving is the only way to go.
