  2. What a neat old building in Germantown. It's SO cool over there.. very historic.. I like going through town on a nice spring day over there. It really does have some gems of buildings and old homes there.. thanks for going through that neat old dilapidated home. Very cool Chris!

  5. 2 things Chris.. 1 and I laughed out loud, when you were pulling the Ford out of the corn field I thought oh he's gonna watch the drone while doing it and not pay attention to that big ass tree behind him, (it was funny when I thought it) and 2 you're going to LOVE having that mechanic's bed on the back of your RAM.. of COURSE you are.. you'll have that thing rigged up and decked out in 2 weeks, all your lines and hoses, plug in ports.. all of it. Oh how nice a work bed is on a truck. So nice. Just needs a little 2 ton crane on the corner and possibly a 5th wheel if you ever needed it and you're off to the races!

I totally agree about not flushing a system, if you need to do a drain and swap due to time or mileage, just drain your rad and engine, whatever comes out comes out, fill it back up and call it good. Same for the sludge.. that's important stuff (the engine needs that weight to stay in there!!)

  8. I grew up in a small small town right across the bridge from you, Florence Twp, NJ.. anyway, back in the 90s my school band director had an 89 Fox Body, GT convertible 5.0. She LOVES (even still) that car!! Well, I never drove it in high school, just never had the chance (we are a very very small school district so all the teachers and students knew each other back then) The town has grown a LOT since then, they sold out all the land in the country and put in hundreds of homes (NY moved down here, yuck) anyway.. about 5 years ago my old music teacher (marching band director and all 1 lady for the whole school district, again very small town) well, she gave me her Mustang for a few months, she was so disappointed over the years, a few mechanics 'mechanics' hacked through that car, did it some disservices, for sure.. anyway she let me take it and I did all new ignition, hotter coil, bigger alternator, thicker battery cables, new driveshaft (hers was bent somehow and weighed a TON) new high aluminum radiator, heater core.. the whole nine yards.. anyway that was like the coolest thing that's ever happened to me I think when it comes to old times coming back to you in your 40s.. : )

  9. Wow.. for 500 bucks holy smokes that thing on the outside is like in showroom condition compared to all the boats I've ever seen. That alpha 1 looks brand new!!! Wow.. I'm just at the beginning so we'll see what's up with the engine, but even still at 500 bucks who cares! edit: yeah man that flooding from up north was nuts.. I live right across from Neshaminy (down a little but still I'm just past Croydon on the NJ side)

It would be so sad to see that chopped up for scrap! edit: it's cool you live so close to me, I am 20 minutes from Columbus.. I'm on the river (grew up in Florence where the PA turnpike bridge is).. awesome to have some local stuff for me on here.. seems like most channels are out west or down south.. : ) Also the intro would be cool, short sweet and right to the point! Yes she is a squirter! haha

  12. Chris over in Lumberton, NJ - basically rt. 38 and 206 next the the DMV there's an old home improvement store that looks just like that plumbing supply house. It's called Diamond M Lumber.. as soon as the video started it made me think of that place. It's like a Home Depot but from 1968. It's like walking into a time capsule there, they have EVERYTHING for all the old houses here from the early 1900s, all the old electrical stuff, full sized boards, the old ceiling tiles for drop ceilings, he's got all the stuff from back in the day. He's got newer products too, it is a supply house, but man I love going there for stuff you can get at the big box stores.. he's got EVERYTHING..

  13. I know exactly the yard you guys went to.. I used to go there with MY dad back in the 80s and 90s.. oh yeah that was a gold mine with some real gems hidden in the sticks.. nice spot for around us.. there aren't many left like that yard!

  14. It's so cool you live across from me, literally the park you let in from is like directly across form Beverly / Burlington City. You went under the Bristol Bridge, which is a private bridge believe it or not, and the tolls go to help the Vocational School here in Burlington County.. Also that power plant is a main station for PSE&G in NJ. I go past there every day on River Rd. going to Florence to see my mother in law or to work in Burlington. My brother works at The Union something or another part time second job, anyway, it's neat you produce content form my neck of the woods. I talk about you all the time to random people I meet around here.. a few even watch your channel Chris. So cool..

  15. That car was LOVED by the owner.. It was absolutely restored I think, someone definitely put $$$ into it at one time, course things didn't cost anything near what they do today.. Good call on the safety measures when dealing with nasty mouse shit and all that, bro your channel eh, your LIFE is way more important and you are safe to begin with (it's good to see you always wear haring and eye protection) so yeah man thanks for the great video, I sure hope that goes to someone who will love it as much as the original owner and get her back to her glory.

I've worked on SO many of them, they're GREAT even if they wear out rings, man, just replace them and keep it moving. Good Chevy powerhouses. Chris our ENTIRE area has become warehousing.. man look across the turnpike bridge towards Florence and Burlington.. that ENTIRE stretch, PLUS if you go out towards 295 in Florence and off every darn exit up and down it's just ALL WAREHOUSES. WTF man.. what are they even DOING with them? It seems they've all been built and have only 1 or 2 cars ever in the parking lots other than the behemoth Amazon warehouses, 2 of which are right here between Florence and Burlington. WHY??

  28. What are you kidding Chris? At the end you say you're surprised anybody's still watching. Come on man.. You have fans, you're an awesome dude with the balls the time the money and the know how to stand in front of a camera for a week or more and record your life to share with us. Yeah I'd be a little irritated 1 when that second truck of cement came in and it looked like that I would have told them to send it back, this is definitely not the same as the first load, no way.. it's totally different. I sure hope the stuff you saved to send out comes back with at least CLOSE to the same PSI of hardness. 2 that is NOT flat. That's out by at leas a half inch and over that length those guys should be ashamed of themselves. 1/8 over 20 is acceptable. TOPS. I'm not mad by any means, and you really shouldn't be either, the floor will be fine, but it's definitely not level.. It'll be fine with the lift there, and it is just a shop floor, but still.. I think the weather had a LOT to do with it.. but man it looks amazing, totally stoked to see you getting some of your dream even though it's not your forever home, who cares you could die tomorrow, enjoy it to its fullest TODAY!!   32. I think that rollback is probably going to end up being one of the most valuable tools you've gotten in a long time. It's SO nice to not have to trailers something and deal with all that, especially in rain or over a long distance. I'm super happy you got that thing.   34. In my shop(s) kinda, anyway.. there are a LOT of things I don't use all the time, as a matter of a fact, I have tools that I use once every 3 or 4 or even 10 years. BUT, I got that tool for either free, as payment for some side job, as a trade or it was my dad's and I wouldn't ever get rid of it anyway because they don't make tools like that anymore. HOWEVER... I'll be grateful to have (not quite) enough space to keep all the tools I do own, because I can't STAND not having the tool I need WHEN i need it and have to either beg borrow or BUY it.. So, I'll take the space hit for having all my tools even if it's an inner tie rod tool that I rarely use, but when I NEED it, I have it.

  35. I honestly agree with you, the sealed beam headlights are the best for the older trucks, the square body and even the gmt. I have an 89 1500 single cab 8' bed.. I just replaced the sealed beams and man it looks sharp at night. Plenty of light down the road and they just look silly with the LED white or blue bulbs in them! edit: I remember when all the Sears and the Sears Outlets around here did that.. I wish i'd have gotten there when all the shelves and all was there, I was late and there were slim pickin's for me, but I did get some things!

I'm pretty sure the Plymouth (1 it was a ship from GB that came here so that's the nautical stuff on the hubcaps and the front emblem) but they were like just below a Cadillac back in the day, that passenger side mirror may well have been factory as an elite option.. It's a pretty car (hate the color, I had an 87 Cavalier that color yuck) but man.. i'm only 4:48 into it and i'd LOVE to have a go at her!

  40. around 49:00 man oh man whoever set the valve lash WOW holy cow man. There's NO WAY that happened 'over time' as one would try to say.. that's WAY WAY TOO tight.. I'm surprised that alone didn't wipe out that cam.. Funny, that thing sounds SO good now, I'll bet that oil burn calms right down. It's funny, I have met a bunch of 'mechanics' that don't understand how to set valve lash moving 90 degrees at a time following the firing order.. I had a guy try to tell me that would be 2 full rotations so how could it work. I told him, bro a 4 stroke engine is 2 rotations for 1 round of firing. It's a 4 stroke.. anyway thanks for taking us along on this great trip you guys had, say Hi to Gussie!! Awesome!

  41. 19:24 that is my lifetime dream Chris. To find an old dilapidated yet still there building with an old one of those in the floor lifts, the good ones.. destitute but still fixable.. I was living in Jackson MS. for a couple years and man there were SO many places like that.. one day I'll retire and buy an old closed down shop and probably have to pay to have the old gas tanks removed and all that, but still. to bring back that old mechanic shop.. yes!!!
