Awesome find for south jersey! edit: i think that thing on the intake manifold is something for vacuum or something crazy, i was working on a boat like maybe a 96 or 97 chevy small block and it had that thing on it.. dunno but it was definitely in the way ...oh choke actuator.. i knew it was something stupid the motor i was working on didn't need because it had an edelborck with electronic choke on it.. oh well

  3. Chris DO NOT CUT YOUR HAIR. You're only going to get older and less and less hair grows I PROMISE. I'm 45 now, haven't cut my hair since well in 4 or 5 years and you know what, it's amazing. It's the BEST hair I've ever had. Don't cut it man, don't crumble under the pressure, I promise you'll hate yourself if you cut it!

  4. Such a great story about Leo and his siblings! When my brother and i were very young we found a naked baby robin on the ground under a tree behind a car's tire.. she was just about dead, probably the runt.. anyway we took her home, to the vet etc, they said she wouldn't make it a week.. well.. 8 years later, Haro Star the Robin (she had a bald head hear entire life but full feathers and all) lived in our dining room.. Most awesome, loving bird ever.. she was super friendly, clicked if she was angry, nuzzled all day if you let her... anyway, rescue life is a great life!!

Anyone who thinks this would be a boring video just isn't on the same page, and ESPECIALLY isn't from our area.   8. Wow.. I wonder if that gas station you stopped at before you found all that water in the tank was selling half water, maybe that's the 3.19 deal! That sucks! Edit: I wonder if that's like the west coast version of Ethanol additive?? Once you found it in the second tank of gas, and it burned kinda, it definitely wasn't water.. that's so weird I've never seen gas separate like that FROM THE PUMP!!!

  11. I don't know, Chris.. when it comes to a Honda.. I ONLY use Honda stuff.. I had a half shaft rip off the mount, replaced it with an OEM pull from a jy, but I put an aftermarket lower control arm with new bushings - it was shot on the passenger side where the half shaft ripped out of its mount - man 1 year.. those bushings lasted 1 year. Eh... It's still fine, it doesn't clank or anything but i have to rotate my tires now all the time because it's wearing the crap out of that tire way more than it should.. I'm going back to OEM Honda next time I change it out.. I hate to pay the Honda prices but man.. totally worth it cry up front but in the long run I'm happy.. 04 Odyssey. Also I put a $50 Cardone axle on the end and I think it's like 1mm short, my alignment just is not right.. I'm going to grab a used on from a crash vehicle... luckily they've used the same axle for just about every 3.5 fwd Honda late model van for years and years..

  12. 24:20 You know, as far as that jeep.. that's definitely been USED and ABUSED.. I was a fence guy (well, I worked with a fence and deck / dock company down in SWFL years ago) anyway, if I do know one thing, fence guys are HARD on their equipment, they run them hard and put it away wet.. so that jeep, she'll be ok just going to need a little love to get her back to A+ status.. I LOVE the rig on the back and the awesome transfer case with the PTO that's super cool!!

  14. I am not sure, I live in New Jersey, but I think that oil thing is called a Derrick ? maybe? Edit: cool man, my mother retired from her govt. job in NJ and moved to Radford Va. It's a cool little area off 81 (81 is so nice, and all the colleges in Va are up there.. great road to drive back north on other than 95 I hate 95) Also, man she sounds FRIGGIN AMAZING with the echo of the pool room singing Ave Maria! My Nana LOVED Mario Lanza's version, we heard that ALL the time on her old cabinet stereo on 72. Wow.. She's just got such an amazing voice!

Funny, you got pizza from Pepperoni's and the look when you opened the box.. you know, Chris, where we're from, pizza is.. well it's a certain way... and the rest of the country just doesn't have the water like we do and they can't make pizza like ours. It's just a thing.. if you're not from around here, Trenton area (and it's a big area) you don't get pizza like this, ANYWHERE else.. they try, but.. eh.. edit: haha at 56:20 or so, you said it brother!!   19. Darn that transmission jack is SWEET!! I have a buddy with an old square body (1st year) lifted a little (4") but the rear main seal is shot on the motor.. and I need to drop the SM465, which I can probably do without a t-jack, but it's got the NP203 transfer case on it and man.. I know it's going to break my balls.. I just HATE to buy a cheap one and have it fail on me.. and I really REALLY don't have 800 bucks for a decent jack.. man I sure need to buy an old shop full of goodies! You make the BEST deals man.. seriously!!

  20. My parents had bought a brand new 1984 Grand Marquis when I was little.. I think that was the first new car they bought together, and man it was junk. They had the ENGINE replaced the first year, that thing had SO many issues.. (my old man was a machinist and a mechanic his whole life so it's not like he didn't know anything, they just ended up with a lemon) Anyway the Ford (Lincoln Mercury) dealer bought that thing back from them I think it 85.. crazy.. It was a 4 door, white with red, looked just like this one but with more doors.. I'm pretty sure it was a 4 door

  23. We got a LOT of rain last week.. I was concerned we were going to get a tornado.. That hail reminded me of the storms we got when I spent a couple years down in Jackson Mississippi. Not cool. Luckily we didn't see any of that but man the south got hit hard.. We have a little bridge between Delanco and Riverside that goes across the creek right off the Delaware river and that was closed for a day and a half because of how much rain we go, it was up to the blacktop of the bridge.. yikes!

  25. I think the reason they did vinyl tops on cars is the poor quality roofs or bad seams on them, they repurposed with a vinyl top. It was hard to get a perfect quality top put on a body back in the day and that's the times you find what they call a triple back car (black top black panels and black interior) I know that's a rare original car for the seams to be that perfect for them to paint the car all black, the tuxedo also with a full black outside and white interior. I'm pretty sure vinyl tops were introduced to save cost on poor manufacturing quality!

  28. When I was much younger (late 90s I think) I worked for U-Haul storage, and we did rentals too.. I had to move the International 26 footer (I"m pretty sure it was the 26 maybe 28) anyway that was air brakes and manual.. granny gear.. and they RENTED that out to people.. like with no air brake experience, just sign here.. hahaha that was crazy!! Anyway nobody knew how to drive stick so I was like 19 or something, obviously knew stick of course, and i got do drive that thing like 50 miles to another U-Haul place for pickup.. SO neat..

  29. 27:40 Chris, I know you know but man, doing that gasket with a razor blade, come on.. go over to Mortske's page and grab a Super Scraper from him, they're the BEST gasket removers IN THE WORLD!! Wood handle, metal blade with a carbide end on them, they're perfectly flat, they will NEVER harm the gasketed surface, and they just REMOVE anything that doesn't belong on there.. They area a LIFE SAVER! He get them direct from the guy who makes them right here in the US of A and they're the BEST gasket tool in the world!! Mortske Repair, I'm sure you've seen him you YT, he's a good guy and he sells good quality stuff!!

  31. 45:30 Damn man.. I grew up on 54 Amboy Ave. 1978-1988 at least.. I was ten when we moved to Florence, same TWP, different postal code.. Neat. I know the entire history of John A. Roebling and Sons. There's a museum there now.. I lived on the other side of those railroad tracks, directly behind the Steel Mill. Back in the 80s some of the buildings were even still there, people used to dump tires there and in 85 I think there was a massive tire fire back there.. Neat stuff!

  35. Was bofem tires bustit? huh Man.. As a kid I used a mower just like that, it wasn't that brand but it was quality from back in the day, my dad's dad's I think.. what memories. I grew up (until 10) having a very very small back yard and I was allowed (more forced) to cut the grass with that thing, but it sure put the passion of lawn care into me.. I love cutting grass even now in my 40s.. love it

  37. Concerning the headlights - and plastic lenses only, obviously.. man years ago I grabbed the Dupli Color headlight restore set. It's 2 spray cans, one is the polish, the second is a clearcoat. I'll tell you what, that was the BEST 20 bucks I've spent. Every spring, i spray down each of my lights (4 in total, 2 cars) 1 spray with step one, wipe it down, 1 spray with step 2 let it sit 30 minutes. The lenses are crystal clear like glass for about a year. Then.. well, next spring it's time to go again. I've done ALL of my friends' cars and trucks over and over again, I'm NOW OUT of the stuff and the ONLY place that has it still for 20 bucks or less is Jeggs I think.. I need to order some more, I'll get a big case of it if I can find it.. Man it's really REALLY good stuff, and there's honestly NO headlights like OEM headlights in my opinion. If you look for it it's a white box with 2 little spray cans in it. I use a lint-free rag to do the first step, man you can get probably 100 or more uses out of the set.. It's AMAZING stuff.. Just great!!

  39. Wow Chris I am NOT impressed with the quality of those connectors on the EFI. That's something I'd expect from a $300 eBay knock off, but not a Holley Sniper like real deal, you'd think they'd use a real WeatherPak connector, like.. you know.. what it SHOULD be! Wow.

I'm going to guess (and no, I'm not going through the comments) there's at least 1 person crying their eyes out watching the end result with this poor Mercedes, but you're absolutely correct with the sad shape she's in.. I am not surprised that engine basically fired right up and sounded almost like it was parked yesterday. Glad you could at least save some of the good things that were left on her..   42. At least it'll pass inspections now in NJ, they did away with all the California nonsense basically and you just need obdII or newer (and some work trucks are like 2003 and before and you're good on inspection) so that's like the ONLY good thing the NJ has EVER done. Ever.
