  2. Because Republicans in that state did not pass laws designed to delay the vote count like they did in so many battleground states. Even so, Florida isn't completely done with their vote counting, they are still at 99% reported, they are just done enough that it wouldn't be possible for the losing candidate to make up the difference. States like Arizona had some much closer results.

  14.  @SharkVsTree  It would save a lot of their lives and make it much easier to work/learn if we could reduce our school, shooting rates to those of countries with better gun control (ie, basically zero). There are other things we can do involving education, but NOTHING would be even close to AS important.

  23. That's not currently feasible. We had that when Clinton left office, but the Bush administration ruined it and made it hard to fix. It would take several consecutive Democratic administrations to balance the budget at this point.

  24.  @SpecialistQKD  There are Republicans on the commission, and would have been more if Kevin McCarthy had taken his role seriously and appointed credible nominees to the position. This is not a criminal trial though, and there are no criminal charges at play here. that would come later, and Trump would have the opportunity to defend himself. Realistically though, there is no credible defense to make for his actions.

That's who we get in these messes in the first place, Republicans wreck the joint, so people replace them with Democrats, Democrats show up to a wrecked place, so they start to fix it, but it would obviously take some time to work, people say "hey, everything's wrecked!" and vote for Republicans again, who then coast through a term or two in which the things Democrats did have started to pay off, and then they wreck the place again.
