  49. San Francisco is a failed city as is most liberal leaning blue West Coast cities. Liberal policies did not create the economic success. The economic success thrived IN SPITE of the liberal policies. The increased tax base served to subsidize and mask the underlying problems with liberal policies. At this point, I do not see a way out for these cities. Defund the police discourages new police officers, Cop hating, criminal coddling politicians and DAs constantly get elected and will thrown the police under the bus when it is politically convenient. The voters are suffering from cognitive dissonance and Kreuger Dunning syndrome with Stockholm syndrome mixed in so they will always check the D at the voting booth no matter what. They will become the new Detroits.
