  8. I think unions need to be evaluated on a case by case basis. The trade unions work with companies to get their members trained and certified. They even pay for the certs and training. Some are even more stringent than company management. Unions that do nothing for employees like SEIU and public sector unions need to be disbanded.   24. I am for working more than 40 hrs per week, but I work those extra hours on my side gig for myself. I can do 50 hours at the day job before I burn out and become unproductive. As long as I switch to what I like to do in my side gig, I can do it until I drop to sleep.

Policies in the real world do not operate in a vacuum, but the socialists thought so. The execution of the one child policy led to forced abortions, legalizing second children through bribery of local officials and deaths of girl children that resulted in a gender disproportion creating new problems.

Nvidia specializes in making purpose built chips and it just so happens that chips that excel in parallel calculations for graphics is not dissimilar to the demands for AI that do a lot of work with non linear calculations. Think a parallel electrical connection as opposed to a series electrical connection. Nvidia is making the right product at the right time. There is a bit of serendipity with their business model. The other side of this coin is the software that needs to be written to make full use of whatever processor is available. People who are familiar with Nvidia's cuda cores for machine learning, 3d imaging and CAD will naturally hire the same people and write code for that hardware thus cementing Nvidia's lead in their niche.
