@Maksie0 Isn't their objection enough to respect their preference?
3
@edgar5814 Not dissimilar to a Halloween costume, as I see them
3
Yes, I concur
3
@pineapple2.041 Nope... You seem to be under the impression that the 'Because you said so' standard affects reality. It does not
3
@Erik-fn7kj Too bad your reading comprehension prevents you from comprehending the text. The difference is, I use the ones I select correctly, and when talking 'to' someone directly, I use their name-- not a pronoun.
3
A woman is an adult, human, female and these men who've altered their appearance-- aren't that and NEVER will be
3
I think it’s funny people need surgery to “be who they are”.
3
@Jhon Dalton Bottom line-- men cannot become women. A woman is an adult, human, female, not a social construct. As it turns out, there's a prerequisite to being a woman, and that's being born female. 'Trans' is the "social construct"-- being played out by men.
3
Nonsense... They're not trans ANYTHING. Still the same sex/gender prior to changing their appearance as they are after.
3
@mackayladavis4021 Never said it didn't. What's your point? 2. Consent to the risk is what matters. 3. Consent cannot be withdrawn after the fact. 4. The child resulting from an assault isn't less valuable.
3
Not all cultures are Equal, Compatible, nor Desirable That's why Sovereign Nations have borders Think Deeper thoughts
3
Nothing she said indicated a government setting up a church-- which is what that is referring to.
3
@jupiterfox7683 If your subjective identity relies on the participation of others in your cosplay and LARPing, and ignoring or rejecting objective reality-- too bad so sad for you. You better get used to being disappointed
3
You can have a surgeon alter your appearance and prescribe hormones to make you appear like a Klingon from Star Trek, but it doesn't make you an actual Klingon, and those who would believe it does are delusional.
3
Show me someone who values life and advocates for the ability to terminate life, and I'll show you a hypocrite
3
@maranocna2530 There is only 1 kind of woman, and they're ALL born female-- making the 'cis' description entirely irrelevant and useless
3
@pop_culturist Define religion, and while you're at it--define, what is a woman
3
@tala954 Relax, Karen
3
@heyhey8528 Dissociative disorders are mental disorders that involve experiencing a disconnection and lack of continuity between thoughts, memories, surroundings, actions and identity. Intersex is in fact a genetic disorder where only male and female organs are present; which does not invalidate the binary of all mammalian species AT ALL
3
@heyhey8528 Dissociative disorders are rare. About 2% of people in the United States have them, but the cause isn't the focus here. It's the result which we're focused on, and the point is they're psych issues not biological issues
3
@heyhey8528 There are people. They are male or female. There are segments of each which present with various birth defects and psych disorder-- some with both-- Still male or female, respectively. That said, it seems your focus is irrelevant. Male and female are biological categories which are fixed and permanent. It's XX (female), XY (Male), Birth defects... of each and Psych disorders or each......... That's it. Someone's subjective perception, which is in direct contradiction to objective reality, is clearly a psych issue. Try Again?
3
@heyhey8528 The fact that those buying into this incoherent narrative are conflating the variability in personality traits and temperament (neither of which is gender exclusive hence effeminate males, butch females and tomboys) w/ gender is insane to me
3
@heyhey8528 Correct, intersex is a very rare genetic biological disorder/anomaly. The exceptions to the rule do not invalidate the rule, they prove the rule by being the exceptions, and they NEVER present with organs outside of the binary of ALL mammalian species invalidating nothing whatsoever, about the binary nature of all mammalian species. Gender refers to the sex assigned at birth and the social aspects of being male or female respectively. Do you believe that someone born blind is indicative of another design spec in the anatomy of people without sight? or someone born with only 1 arm or leg? C'mon... That doesn't pass the minimum of scrutiny... Not even close
3
@heyhey8528 Clearly, the number of births with ambiguous genitals is in the range of 0.02% to 0.05%, and are discovered at some point-- which illustrates it's an extremely rare disorder, and not at all what represents the trans community, since with intersex it's a biological disorder/anomaly/birth defect, and those w gender dysphoria are dealing with a psych issue of a different sort.
3
A birth happens either way
3
I encourage self-reliance, and self-control.
3
@joytotha Those who promote the idea that a costume change, and altering one's appearance changes one's sex/gender
3
Sorry to break it to you, but you don't use pronouns for others, when you're speaking to them. You use them when speaking about them, to others
3
That dude has major issues
3
@mizzyproductions8910 The final say on whether or not women are willing to risk themselves getting pregnant, when facilitating it, rests entirely with women-- and it is why they have no one to blame but themselves, for their avoidable self-inflicted dilemmas. How do you propose to save people from the consequences of their own actions, or have them choose to make intelligent choices, and elevate their character to more than one driven like a mere base animal, fixated on it's own self-gratification regardless of consequences? Innocent baby's shouldn't be terminated because adults can't act responsibly
3
@TheALfever Like I said, Biological women are the only kind of women. Trans people aren't 'trans' anything. A woman is an adult, human, female and that biological category is fixed and permanent They're still the same sex and gender prior to altering their appearance and messing w/ their natural body chemistry, as they are after.
3
@mariec3733 My answer is still there. Is the resulting child's life somehow less valuable if one or both of their parents is bad? I don't think so
3
The narrative suggests that gender is fluid, and simultaneously suggests that the justification for gender reassignment surgery and treatment is that the girl who's trapped in a male body, has an immutable male identity. Both can't be true, showing the narrative is incoherent.
3
ERRATAS 003 To recognize that something or someone is not as it seems or are not what they claim to be-- isn't being close-minded. It's being observant with a functional capacity for analysis and coming to intelligent conclusions
3
@mariec3733 Ya, THEY need to adapt to society, Not the other way around. The point about the fact that males and females are a biological category which is fixed and permanent, making the statement 'trans women are women' patently absurd and false-- seems to elude you.
3
@gawd-zila Then what's the point of transition surgery? Think
3
Exactly correct
3
Pronouns are objective, not subjective. You don't get to pick your own
3
@jeon0jungkook83 That's a dude. Men cannot become women. Now you know
3
Restrooms are designated based on sex, not subjective feelings.
3
Who is in charge of preventing an avoidable pregnancy, if not those who can get pregnant in the 1st place?
3
Imagine if the activists for the whole animal rights movement would stand up for the rights of unborn humans, the same way they stand up for animal's and their offspring's rights. The final say on whether or not women are willing to risk themselves getting pregnant, when facilitating it-- is why they have no one to blame but themselves for their avoidable self-inflicted dilemmas. How do you propose to save people from the consequences of their own actions, or have them choose to make intelligent choices, and elevate their character to more than one driven like a mere base animal, fixated on it's own self-gratification regardless of consequences?
3
@ABagOfPotatoes It goes to the heart of your comment regarding treatment, exposes it as disingenuous-- and also illustrates beautifully, how not all cultures are Equal, Compatible, nor Desirable... And validates the borders of sovereign nations. Why do you ask?
3
@HotTakeAndy So-- the guy didn't shun his friend, the 2 of them don't have a problem, but you're so judgmental that if the roles were reversed-- you'd drop your friend, and call him the jerk? Male Friend: Uses name, not preferred pronouns-- and they are ok with their friendship Trans-friend: If you don't use my subjective preferred pronouns, we can't be friends Male Friend: I've read your terms and conditions, and I accept your terms-- Pronouns are objective. You don't get to choose your own, and you certainly don't get to choose the one's I choose.
3
@HotTakeAndy As a self-proclaimed trans, it's clear you can't truly accept yourself, but think others should respect you, and accept you for who you'd rather be, as opposed to who you really are? Does that about sum it up? hello.... hello.... crickets
3
@KenzLovesMovies The definition I use is gender refers to the sex assigned/observed at birth and the social aspects of being male or female, respectively. Even if it were true, that gender and sex are disconnected (they aren't), it doesn't invalidate biology-- so why should those men being referred to as 'trans women', be granted access to women's private spaces?
3
@KenzLovesMovies Even if it were true (it is not), gender doesn't invalidate biology-- so why then, should those men being referred to as 'trans women', be granted access to women's private spaces? You have NO justifiable reason
3
The stats proving women having multiple ab0rti0ns do in fact exist, seems to prove your assertion to be totally baseless nonsense
3
Drag Queens, Cross Dressers and Trans women ALL have the same thing in common-- they're all men
3
@Maksie0 You spelled 'Trans' wrong
