In 1990s, when it became apparent that China had outpaced them, North Korea tried to build their own Special Economic Zone on the model of China's Shenzhen. To do that, they hire a Chinese director to run everything. And just as the project almost completed, the director was recalled back to China and the Special Economic Zone became a failure. Why would China did such a thing that amount to sabotage their "brethren forged in blood"? Maybe because China feared North Korea would become competitor to their economy. Or maybe because China wanted (and still wants) to keep North Korea as their pet.

  11. The reason for invasion of Taiwan is quite similar with the invasion of Tibet, both are strategic region. With Tibet, China can use Himalayas range as barrier of invasion toward its heartland. The other route will be through Gobi desert or Siberia, which are also hostile to human activity. With Taiwan, China can use the island escape encirclement on their eastern waters. As of right now, China access to the Pacific is blocked by the sequence of Japan, Taiwan, and Philippines. Even if they manage to gain supremacy on the South China Sea, they are still confined to their coasts.

The replacement currency usually a "hard" money, which has the backing of large economies and history of low inflation. Of course it will put Argentina in the mercy of US government. If US government decides to inflate USD like there's no tomorrow, Argentina will suffer. Therefore, using USD is a stop gap measure, not to be the final solution. It's meant to put Argentinian government in check, preventing them to spend beyond their tax revenue. I'm curious with what you pointed as neoliberalism. Care to describe it?

In capitalism, every monopoly is castrated, it always lives in fear of the DUNIA (Diehard competitors, Undead competitors, New competitors, Innovative competitors, and Adventurous competitors). The only way a monopoly to be safe is by the help of government, either indirectly by giving special incentives or directly by outlawing competition. In capitalism, such treatments are blasphemy.

In both wars, what make USA withdraw were not the Vietnamese or Afghani forces. It's simply the USA citizen getting bored of the war. It's still popular among their soldiers though .. those psychos very much like to have live target practices.

And there were a sharp changes implemented back then that yanked Scandinavian states away from socialism and moved them toward capitalism. Granted it was initiated by (out of all parties) the ruling parties that was based on socialism for their ideology (hence the miracle). Milei on the other hand, is from a new and minuscule party.
