There'll be even more to fix after Trump does his "fixing".

Syria is not just fine. It's a hell-hole riddled with poverty crime and violence. The standard of living is also low, no doubt due in part to sanctions and of course war and an awful government. Russia is heading in the same direction... hopefully quickly. Hopefully Russians will rise up and fight for a better life as part of the global community but I won't be holding my breath.
5
What does choosing not to support Putin look like? I mean, put yourself in their shoes... what would you do? In my case, I don't know what I'd do if I was actually in that situation and perhaps my life or the life or livelihood of my loved one's was at state.
5
Nope.

I subscribed to Konstantin's channel a long time ago. He's a fine person but I cannot take all of the God talk. For me that's a spoiler. Other than that his presentations are great and I wish him well.

As a non-American... is it possible for the Democrats to regain control in the mid-term elections? I mean House of Senate or both? That would open up impeachment potential, right? And potentially with a Democrat speaker of the house, quite a lot of influence. Or am I dreaming?
5
Fantastic interview.

I hear very little about the occupied territories on our Australian media and not much about Ukraine at all. What we do hear isn't really pro Ukraine either. The real tragedy is being lost by the media trying too hard to be neutral, and by doing so, they're actually helping ruZZia.

Troll
5
Never like Merkel as a politician as far back as I can remember.
5
The problem with the rapist analogy and how it applies to the war and many other situations is there's a massive difference between motivation and justification. There is always motivation but very rarely justification. Some confuse one with the other.
5
@seed_drill7135 You're not Ukraine.
5
Stop trolling. He raises and discusses important issues. And he actually works to help Ukraine... what do you do? Anyway, bye-bye. No one cares.

Pre Soviet? The counter offensive is the result of the situation on the ground. Russia given too much time to dig in and Ukraine being the weaker side in terms of air power. The west tells them how to fight without providing the equipment necessary, so Ukraine is left fighting its way through mine fields the hard way.
4
How so? And why can't you stay on topic instead of playing the whataboutism game?
4
I would disagree with Anastasia's comments near the end of the conversation regarding Russians not being ready to die for their country, about those leaving and comparing the Russian example with Ukraine's fight for freedom. I've heard this argument before, very often promoted by Ukrainians but also Westerner's. It's inaccurate and overly simplistic.
4
This time, the weirdest bunch of trolling commenters I've ever encountered on this channel!
4
Excellent news.
4
I find that difficult to believe. What are you referring to? I'm not American, so I could easily have missed something.
4
Musk needs to take a long hard look at himself. Some serious soul searching is required. He's a very confused man with far too much influence. His actions could make an enormous difference to the tragectory of this war and that's preposterous
4
Yes, he is brilliant.
4
It's been a long time since I thought he was smart.
4
Says who?
4
You either misunderstood the point, or you're being disingenuous.
4
Lol no
4
Why does Europe always appear to be sleepwalking? Perhaps my perception is wrong? I'm in Australia a long way from Europe, so not necessarily on top of events.
4
Suggesting that Trump was dismantling NATO devalues your podcast. Trump was critical of NATO for being too weak. He was correct. He wanted European NATO member countries to up their game. Trump wasn't wrong about everything... he actually did get a few things right.
4
Not really. I would be much more concerned about despots and enablers from countries like Russia, Iran, Syria, China, NK and their ilk than folk like Boris Johnson. It's importent to develop a sense of perspective.
4
What are you babbling about?
4
You're doing an incredible job. Much respect.
4
Why does ruzzia do what does? It has everything it needs to become a great nation, but it focuses on dumb stuff. Is it all down to putin, or is he just a symptom of a deeper problem? Maybe russia has an endless supply of putin type characters?
4
There are many channels succeeding with long form videos. I'll happily listen to a 3hr video if it interests me.
4
You're spot on. I knew Poland was a country somewhere in Europe but Ukraine... until this war, I thought it was just a province of Russia. None of this was taught in school or covered in our NZ media.
3
I thought Ukraine was already using starlink to coordinate drone strikes?
3
That was incredibly imformative. Thank you.
3
This video seems to be focussing on the USA, I guess because of Trump's funding halt, but I don't believe anyone is saying that the USA should bear all the cost, but it should be the leader given that it's the world's most powerful country with the largest economy and military, etc.
3
Thank you for another fantastic information filled discussion.
3
Depends on what you mean by "any time soon". Ages typically refer to 'decades' at a minimum but more often 'centuries'. The 20th century was clearly about oil. The 21st will see oil's role wane significantly in terms of energy source mix. So yes, he is correct.
3
You can call BS but can you prove it? What we generally hear from most commentators is that they had way more people than they could cope with early on.
3
That's a weird way of framing it. Kind like blaming someone for having their house robbed because they didn't install security grills on all of their windows. No, Russia is the perpetrator. It's that simple. We wouldn't need to lock everything up except for scumbags. Russia is that scumbag.
3
That doesn't preclude them from behaving like fascists or becoming fascists.
3
Figure it out if you can. RuZZian wins pale into insignificance when compared to Ukrainian wins. There's a lot more going on than just the front line. But nice try troll.
3
In terms of low IQ, I'm looking at you. Ukraine has to foght ruzzia wherever the war is and part of the war is in the Black sea. It's not rocket science.
3
How would you rate Operator Starsky? He's in the military, he was involved in the original battle, he's intelligent, and he's a pretty good communicator. I think he and Joe would get on pretty well.
3
The 'God' part is why I no longer watch his channel. It's unfortunate because he has a lot of great content but this is a time for rational thought. There is clearly no 'God' involved anywhere in this.
3
That comment makes no sense.
3
What evidence is there for Zelensky being toppled? Are you referring to his low polling?
3
There were of course negatives, but aside from those few scumbags, globalisation was a massive possitive. I can remember the 60s and 70s before the opening up. They were pretty bleak times ecomically and in terms of product quality and diversity.
3
I think you've missed the point of moving weapons to Belarus (as I did initially). Of course, Russia could launch from a ship or from a Russian base, but that wouldn't serve his purpose.
3
That makes no sense.
